Do you see FL Studio fitting in to your new work flow?

Maybe use it as a sketch pad like 99% of the user base that releases commercial music?

Or still now impressed by it's year long delays and new cartoon gui?
Edward strikes again.

...checking. No, we continue to have record sales. Nice try.

Note:

I haven't changed any log in details on my Image Line account and I sent a support request on 6th march (still have it in my e-mails) but there was NO support reply in over 6 weeks.
I have had an NFR before from them but also have paid plug ins but I cannot access my account cause it says account expired. How can an account expire if I didn't delete or change details and have actual paid plug ins there? 6th march 2015 is a long time to wait for a simple support request IMO.
@ Rob Lee
All NFR accounts expire. So the combination of purchases and NFR (free) programs probably is the reason for what you see.

Please send us an e-mail message with your 'my account' details and the request to check and activate your account again. From your info here, I don't find back an account that could be yours.

Normally, to contact Image-Line administration, you best use the 'support tickets' option in your account.
In your case, when you don't have access to your 'my account' send a message to support@image-line.com (mailto:support@image-line.com). When we get your message it is answered.

Let me know where you send your earlier e-mail message. It's not our habbit to simply ignore requests from NFR users.

Yes I have no access to my account but I just sent an e-mail to support with my original details so will wait and see what happens.

Thank you for the reply.

Just a quick update, e-mailed IL support and got sorted within 15 minutes, that was fast and much appreciated. FL12 is looking fantastic by that video I just watched on YouTube.

Thanks again

Is there a way to change time signatures throughout a song? when I add a time signature change in measure 12.. the whole project changes..

Post

Nope.

Heavy renoise user here ...curious if anything has changed in fl stdio 12
Noppes .
-same gui lay out ...GOL's way or the highway
-Zoomfactor in timeline ..STILL dependent on ppqn ..meaning at highest resolution of 960 ppqn ..you still can't zoom in at sample level .
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

I'm disappointed.

The CPU use is even higher!!!
Some glitches and underruns during playback (running the demo project) using 16 points sync. Had to use 6 point hermite to work properly.
The new plugin database system is a bit confusing to me. And subsequent scans put the same plugins 2, 3 times in the list!
No more "beats per bar on this pattern"?
No more icons in the channels/mixer stipes :(
AND... not only the Mod whell isn't mapped by default BUT the pitch whell now don't gets mapped too?

I'll probably stick with the version 11.

basslinemaster wrote:Does anybody know how to enable double sized FL native synths? When I was using an earlier version of FL Studio 12 (when it was called 11.5 or something) I worked out how to do it, but now I've finally got Sytrus, I can't remember how I did it! And Sytrus sure needs to be doubled in size!
i think its in general / advanced settings. legacy scaling 200%

Sytrus is now perfect. problem is, several legacy plugins that were previously OK are now TOO big. it would be nice to have a per-plugin scaling option.
Many thanks! I'd already scaled the fonts to 125%, which meant that when I pressed 'Advanced...', the legacy scaling was below the bottom of the window, and I didn't realise it was there until I scrolled down - all done now! I haven't looked at anything other than Sytrus yet, but at last I've got it at 200% size, much easier to use now.

Post

yeah, I was eager to try v12 simply for the reason that Sytrus would finally be comfortably usable with a reasonable size gui. I was expecting the size to be set per synth though, I don't need everything to be enlarged that much :/

i dont understand why people get so upset over this.

is it stupid that it is not set up?

yes

is it annoying?

eh...a little...not really?

does it literally take 30 seconds to fix it once and for all so you never have to map the mod wheel again?

yes.

and my pitch wheel works just fine by default (well...my pitch axis on the joystick).

i have to say...the new handling of plugins is f'ing horrible.

maybe im missing something...but all i want is the "add channel" drop down to actually list my plugins without spending 3 hours adding them individually by hand. i mean come on...can we at least get a batch function for this?

not only that, but now every plug in i have is listed in both the generator and effects sections of the plugin database.

ugh.

:edit: seriously...cant we just add an entire folder to the add channel/effect - insert/replace drop down lists? id settle for that.
