Hey everybody,

finally it's done - a few minutes ago I released Sundog Scale Studio 2.0.0

Sundog is a standalone composition software that connects to any DAW via MIDI. With Sundog it is possible to develop new chord progressions, melodies, basslines, and arpeggios within minutes.

First of all: Thanks to all the beta testers who helped me in the last weeks! Without you the big leap from Sundog 1.5 to 2.0 wouldn't have been possible

On to the release notes:

Sundog Scale Studio 2.0 adds many new usability features and provides an even faster workflow than before.

The most important changes:

Song parts: Create multiple song parts and chain them to songs - or experiment with different verse variations and chord progressions.
Show chord tension: Quickly see which chords are harmonic or mildly dissonant. Build and release tension in your progressions easily.
New input editor: Precise control over tone heights and triggered sequences. Useful to draw harmonic scale melodies.
Focus areas: "Intelligent" copy and paste actions on patterns, sequences, song parts, and chords.
Many new patterns: Over 150 patterns included.
Use your own default song as a base.
Built-in offline help.
New demo songs to get you started quickly (also with polyrhythmic and polymetric examples).

Sundog is available for Windows + Mac OS X and costs 39 EUR / $45.
Introductory celebration price: 29 EUR / $35 (valid until 2015-04-28)
The update is free for all existing customers of Sundog Scale Studio.

OK, looking at the FAQ though it does't at least seem to have a good selection of non western tunings even if not fully microtonal ones.

Like 9th, 11th, 13th? I'm tinkering around with various ideas to add additional chords. But everything has to fit into the given user interface. Personally I'd rather have less chords instead of too many. But obviously there are times where the full set would be nice

Fantastic piece of software! For the intro price its quite a steal.

Its great that it lets me apply what I already know about music theory and gets more out of it.
