Hello,
I made a collection of Synare 3 samples and have put them into a Kontakt GUI (K4.2.3 and higher)that has 3 kits to play with. Samples have no external processing and were taken from the output of the SYNARE 3.

Pic of the Synare the sounds are from.

Made a quick demo video using the Synare for drums.

I have left the samples in .WAV format so that they can be used in other samplers - I keep meaning to buy NI's Battery 4, but have not got around to it yet.

Thanks - I'm just recording another set based more around classic 80's crash snares and wobble lfo type snares, bass drums and analogue Tom sounds.
Tried to get the snare from Ultravox Vienna, but I can only get similar and not exact so I'm guessing the sound was modded by mix engineer with eq's etc

Dynacord , alas I sold the hardware unit during a clear out of kit and to help fund some other bits of kit which are being sampled at the moment - It is a nice old reverb unit, but a bit noisy. I like the IR's on drums and vocals for that space disco type sound.

No worries - This volume 2 I'm working on has more of those Numan type snares. I'm trying to replicate the snare crash off the track Conversation, but they must have used some eq and other things.

I have to be quick as the Synare has been sold(being collected tomorrow) to fund this contraption - This also has some lovely analogue drums, but no MIDI in and uses triggers which is a PITA.

Try Kit 1 (Synare volume 2)C3 upwards for Vienna(ish) type synth snares.

Listening to sharp percussive sounds all day has made my ears go funny...weird.

Thanks for the update

For me the quintessential Ultravox (and maybe the whole synth-rock) snare is the one in All Stood Still.

Is that Synare too?

Sounds sort of real snare to me - Probably be able to create something similar with a normal snare sound/eq etc.
I did not know until yesterday they used a Synare until someone sent a mail to me asking if I would try and create the Vienna snare..hard to get it spot on because of things the mix engineer may have done to it to get the sound - It is a great sound and I love that single note synth sound at the beginning that just drones on.

oh those two , could be Synare mixed with a real snare. I'm not certain which version of Synare they used.

This is the one to have, but I have never even seen a real one.
