An M42 bank in progress (Updated: 32 patches)

Post

Bout two weeks ago I offered ten separate patches as a sunday starsend desert. I never realized that the patches would hold their old name, let alone how I could make it into a proper bank.

Thanks to Tim's tips I now know how to do it.

Added a few more sounds and tweaked some of the older patches a tad. Through time the bank will grow, but now I offer you:

Random Weirdness

Updated and the previous sounds upgraded a little where needed:

M42 Dubstahr Bank

(Old bank still available)

Consider it an opening gift to the forum :D

Really digging this bank here so far..

My favs at this point are:

Brazilians
Eighth day
Solar flights
Boggie springs
Uptown girl

The lower tones of Uptown girls sounds scarily like some of the sounds Black Sabbath used in the short instrumental right before the Mob Rules track..really cool stuff.

M42 HAS to be one of the top synths made this year; I easily place it in the top 5. In the hands of a talented patch designer, it's fuckin amazing what comes out of this monster.

And no, Tim, I ain't refering to you, either! You get the spotlight all the time..stealing everyone else's thunder, gawd..I'm gonna start a 'we don't need no stinkin TC patches' thread..just watch..

But uh.. you didn't happen to finish those Saturn patches for Cameleon, did ya?

:D

A little PS: while making the sounds here, I somehow kept in mind that one of the oscilators could be switched off and would still make for a good sound (so you're actually with 34 sounds here ;) )

The M42 is a monster with a huge expressive versatility :!:

My best buy (taken that I have not touched the Zebra yet) this year too :D

and Siccle: I DID get some nice saturn CA patches! Still working on them....and I am surprised you havn't poped into our Astronomy thread yet ( How big is yours?)..hmm...does not sound like a Astronomy thread...but it is!

A good observation..so with one patch...you can get two sounds!!

In my factory patches, I used this somewhat . I split the keyboard ( Yes...you can do this) so one sound is at the left, and another at the right. SPLT, and several of my SEQ are set up this way. A Alternative is to use different MIDI channels for each synth! ( yes...2 channel multi-timbral)

Originally the patch split personality was a split up patch divided over the keyboard, but for some reason this was not saved with the patch :?

I must confess not having tried it again to see if I made an error or if these settings aren't saved.

I'll try that again

more patches! I dig these; I can almost pretend I'm Vangelis..
