They turned out to be one folder below where I'd expected, but they are there. Only problem left is the registration/activation.
If you persevere with the command centre it does eventually manage to load without crashing or freezing. Took about 5 attempts for me. Once loaded and logged it registration is automatic.

64 bit instantly crashes Live 9
just like Z3ta 2 bravo!
how do i load .scl files now?

Ha.

Why does none of this surprise me in the least... I know I will eventually get this (I love Rapture and Dimension Pro, but Cakewalk's service has been laughable -- or far worse -- over the past years) but think I'll wait a bit, see if this stuff gets ironed out.

Also, uh, Omni2 is on Thursday, sooooooo :P

Although downloading files with CC didn't work at all, I don't have a problem with it crashing or freezing. It comes up just fine, and even displays my s/n correctly. But even after reinstalling both CC and the plugin, it still thinks I'm in demo mode...

i just decided to get it a couple of days ago... took maybe 3 hours to dl, but installed fine and just needed to refresh VSTs and restart prog to get it going. Has some very nice sounds from what I sampled and I like the way it integrates rapture and dimension. I've spent more money on worse stuff...

Command centre on Mac is world of crashing pain... Just use the direct downloads.

You need to do it here:

http://www.cakewalk.com/redeem/

make sure you are logged into your cakewalk account as well
Arrrrg! How hard would it be to include the crucial link along with the serial?...

Thanks Astralp.

dear IDIOTS of cakewalk
thank you for erasing all my presets for serum
i installed the rapture pro library inside mac hd/library/audio/presets
and it ERASED EVERYTHING IN THAT FOLDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and it's not in the trashcan either!!!!!!!!!!
all of my wavetables are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot believe these happened
I used their garbage center to install rapture "pro"
you also need admin permissions to add or delete anything from that folder
but cakewalk apparently found a way around that and deleted everything

A number of presets are making no sound whatsoever. Installed from Command Center (see specs below). Will try manual install to see if that fixes the silent presets.

Yes same problem here, many of my Piscis presets are silent.

A sad thing you experienced.

Just restore those presets from your last backup - you do have backups, right?

Post

Had the same experience as jackmazzotti but more damage: changed the install directory to one that contained 100s of Gigs of Kontakt instruments, all deleted! Will take a major amount of time to restore, and I hope I still have the installers for all the recent stuff (older stuff backed up, thankfully). Really bad news - I guess you have to install into an empty directory.

Otherwise, plugin loaded into Live okay, after rebooting the computer.
Music you can believe in:

Wow, that's some incompetent coding, if it deletes stuff other than what it installed on its own. Quite an achievement, Cakewalk! :tu:

Whatever happened with proper beta testing? These kinds of things are supposed to be catched early on - not when the thing is released to the wide world.

So it's not an isolated incident then!!! :o

Sounds like some really SLOPPY coding on their part.
I'm SO glad I didn't buy in.

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.
