It's done, just waiting for Waldorf to put it on their severs. Hope this will happen today.

There's no demo version, what you download is the FULL version always. Just the evaluation license key is limited by use & time. So, instead having demos where you could not save stuff or where you noise, crackle or whatever, you can try Nave in full beauty.

The 1.01 is just a hot fix release with 2 changes:

- Bug Fix: User interface got cut off under specific Windows settings

When you under windows change the DPI settings like via (“Control Panel” -> "Appearance & Customization" -> "Display" -> "Make text and other items larger or smaller”) the UI got cut off. This is now fixed.

- Bug Fix: Audio Glitch in Wave Oscillator

A random glitch got fixed in audio which could potentially happen with strong activity for wave position parameter.

New functionality will go into a 1.1 version which I'm working on. But if in the meantime some bugs need to be fixed, I'll do 1.0x versions like the 1.01

Thanks, that's very clear.
I send you a pm about beta testing.

I take back what I said about "seeing the oscillators", and also the criticism of the user manual. After downloading the latest, I started in on Nave while actually reading the manual. This is a uniquely powerful synthesizer. I think my previous criticisms were levelled because I had become so used to Massive/Serum's way of doing things. This is a different way of doing things, a different synth.

As I delve deeper and gain knowledge, I am steadily becoming more impressed with this synthesizer. There are some uniquely deep and wide-ranging ramifications here. You could achieve vastly complex patches, I think the presets only hint at what you could do here.

And no, I don't work for Waldorf lol! I simply learned my lesson: don't try to see a new synth too much in light of the ones that came before it. I saw this synth earlier through Serum glasses. Taken on its own, this is a very special and monstrously cool beast.

I was going to buy either the Palm Wavegenerator or Wavemapper next for wavetable synths, but I'll pass now. I'm going back to programming Nave again, now.
Ha ha suck it!

I bought it from Audiodeluxe... I'm really liking it. Imo it's a real sonic chameleon. Does sweet glassy pads to deep bass. I like the filters and distortion algos. Great fun to mess with the wavetables.

Still getting my head around it, but it's quite straight forward to use (kinda'). :)
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

The update v1.01 is now ready for download:

It fixes the cut off UI in Windows for changed DPI settings and some audio stuff.

Have fun!

Is the version from Thomann a download version or a boxed version?

Yes, as I understand it, Thomann will send a nice box with DVD. This is different from the way it works in the US.

In addition, a download version will be offered from the Waldorf web shop. I hope that this will be enabled soon.

Sigh. The US almost never gets anything cool like that. I used to love getting "book style" user manuals as well.

Congratulations on a great synth, Rolf.

I wrote you earlier (Andy), but I have two things that I either can't do or would improve Nave:

1) I might have overlooked this in the manual, but is there a way to apply the arpeggiator (or step sequencer, however you like) to, say, the cutoff, stereo, and/or resonance as a modulator? U-he's Bazille has this capability, as well as Gladiator and others I'm sure.

2) Also, Serum gives the user the capability to use LFOs and envelopes to modulate the effects. This would be a devastatingly powerful addition to Nave imo.

I continue to find programming a breeze with Nave, however I've also fallen in love with this synth, and thus want it to be even better. Luckily you are a regular visitor here, Rolf, and please let me know if the capabilities above do indeed already exist and I've put my foot in my mouth once again.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Thanks Joachim! It's just, the more I fiddle with Nave the more I want it to really kick ass! :)

The above features would also serve to firmly separate the Nave vst from the ios version, thus silencing the people whom complain about their being no differences between the two and not worth the price.
With the features added above, plus perhaps some well placed undo/redo capabilities, Nave would be more than worth the price imo.

re 2)

This is already on our list. Won't take too long.

re 1)

You mean you would like to apply something like keytrack not only to filter but also to other mod targets, but still playing the arp notes?

Or do you mean it more like a step functions which modulates a parameter while for ex. holding a single note?
