Hello everyone. I know nothing about audio editing. My daughter is dancing in a recital and somehow I got tasked with editing the song down (and taking a word out).

I have an m4a file of the Kids Bop version of Shake It Off. I installed Acoustica and was able to cut the final 40 or so seconds off the song. I think that will do.

The second thing I need to do is remove/replace a word. At one part, the song says "Oh my God" and they want it to say "Oh oh my" instead. How do I do this (is there someone who can tell me here or is there another forum post where something like this is explained? I am thinking I need to cut out "God" and duplicate the first "oh".

I have the free download basic edition 6.0
Thank you for your help!

Update... got "God" cut out. Can't decide if I need to add in an extra "oh" or just leave it since I don't know how!

I can edit it in SoundForge if you need, just pm me the file.
Otherwise just copy the oh and paste it prolly.

If you need any sound editing help- if u like it enough,
just drop me a line
I wonder what I want in here
-my site is gone and music a mess

A good free Audio Editor is Audacity.
