Need to work out how to get my free grace period upgrade.
v1 to v2 upgrade is $59 outside grace period.
IS there a free grace period update? Could someone tell me where this was announced? It's one of the reasons I bought Saurus 1.
Ha ha suck it!

$59?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! :o

In my view that is definitely a rip-off...
Compared to Dune 1->2 the Saurus update is almost cosmetic...

Markus in the T2 forum:
All customers, who purchased Saurus1 between March 2015 and the release of Saurus2, will be able to upgrade to Saurus2 for free

I found it! "Saurus 2 will be released within the next months. All customers, who purchased Saurus1 between March 2015 and the release of Saurus2, will be able to upgrade to Saurus2 for free."

Geez, besides the fact that I think Saurus kicks ass, this is one of the reasons I BOUGHT the darn thing last week. I wrote them just now.
Ha ha suck it!

I'm ready! I demoed 2 extensively, I personally think this update rocks.

The download page still only shows 1.1. Does anyone have the non-demo version of Saurus 2, and if so, where did you get it?

Re upgrades, a couple of other possibilities, 100% made up and untested:
- Maybe keyfiles purchased during the grace period already work with v2?
- The login page says that future updates will be delivered to the registered email adr, so maybe that'll happen automatically?

Yes, I got the v2 version yesterday, per download link.

Did you download the demo link, or the "update" link from the update page?

I'm still seeing v1.1 on the update page, but the demo is 2.0.

^^^ this.

60 bones eh?

I bought Saurus over a year ago so no grace period. I bought Diva and have had a major update for free and another one on the way that adds a step sequencer, most likely free also.

Sorry, this update is incremental in caliber at best and IMHO that doesn't equal 60 bones. This rat ain't taking the bait. That's the last Tone 2 product for this guy.

I don't necessarily think it's a bad business decision but in my case it's a put off.

That's what I'd like to know.

Neither, I got the download link in a rather informal mail from the developer, about an hour after I got the official download links from the Share It site.

Who cares, the problem is that people might expect too much of the new version. While I like the sound, some things almost make me regret having bought it...

Indeed, for 59 dollars other developers would have added all kinds of new stuff. Just think of Oddity, Dune, etc.
With Saurus, however, even some standard things like decent noise options and pitch bend settings are still screwed up, which is beyond me, frankly.
