Thanks Dr. Wu I was just wondering if that means you essentially have have double the soundsources to play with. I'm a preset guy but thinking about dabbling.Dr.Wu wrote:playing it backwards

the reverse button works on the fly no need to double the sound sources

Some presets use more FX than I usually apply to a whole track.
But even when switching them off, I notice a remarkable cpu hunger. Actually it's the only plug where I have to change the ASIO buffer to avoid crackling. Hope it will get better with following updates...

lol! Thanks! I needed that laugh.Astralv wrote:Thank you for posting the video and for making it to a person who made it, but... wow... It is amazing to see what people do with the plugin when they get their hands on it. So it was 16 minutes video and the author went straight to the effects units and spent 16 minutes talking about 2 bands EQ and few other things and auditioned the entire 3 sounds out of 10,000. What a great introduction! Yep- the first thing I will do when I get Omnesphere is to listen a difference in reverb tails on one basic sound.

Here's another example. I'm using a short spectral chaos sample and turning it into a shimmer pad

Nice one. And confirms my observations when watchng the cpu meter in Live.Audiority wrote:Here's another example. I'm using a short spectral chaos sample and turning it into a shimmer pad
As soon as you switch granular mode on, its peak almost doubles.

No i'd rather wait a few weeks or even a month to buy it cause I don't want to deal with some retarded clusterfuck where the company wasn't prepared for the amount of purchases on launch day like certain other products/companies so everything bugs out and doesn't work.

I've done a walkthrough of Omnisphere 2 going through some of my factory patches and showing some of the new features.
It's typically rambly for one of my videos...

With all due respect Matt, your videos would be twice as good if they were half as long, and I think you already know exactly where to start cutting
Just food for thought!

I noticed on the right side of the edit screen the portamento settings that were in Omni 1 are missing. Instead it has "Amp." did they move the portamento controls to somewhere else?synaesthesia wrote:I've done a walkthrough of Omnisphere 2 going through some of my factory patches and showing some of the new features.
ETA: Ah, I see they have moved them to the Main screen.

Good question. Not sure, as I rarely use portamento.
If I have time tomorrow, I'll have a look and let you know.

Matt, I just want to say I love your video style. You're unscripted, honest, and self-deprecating approach is quite charming.synaesthesia wrote:It's typically rambly for one of my videos...
BTW your Zebra sounds are amazing. I'll eventually purchase some of them.
