Here's a demo of Deathwatch, untweaked - just randomly getting a feel for it:

Pretty nice stuff.

Oh and here's one for Primordial:

Not as fancy but still very useful.

I found Primevil a bit heavy on CPU, so throwing something together off the cuff is a bit harder.

Thanks for trying them, Im surprised that you have cpu issues with Primevil, I only have an i3 and its not too bad.

I was trying fast multi-note runs with several held notes, rather than simple ambient sounds. For the latter it was no problem at all.

Hi, I have put a couple of short tracks on Soundcloud, mainly to demo the patches I made previously, they are not long or overly complicated but all sounds are Mulab/Mux

Hello, I'm fairly new to Mux. I can open and play "Primevil," but when I try to open "Deathwatch" or "Primordial," I get "Couldn't load preset file." Can anyone tell me why?

Can you write out the steps you took to get from the file on the website to having them in MuX - for the one that worked and the ones that didn't?

Post

I downloaded the zip file and uncompressed the three .Mux files to my Windows 8.1 desktop. I use Reaper as my DAW/host -- in Reaper's browser, Mux shows up as two items, one labeled VST and the other VSTi. I added an instance of the VSTi version to a track. In the Mux interface, I clicked on the "Open Preset" button, then navigated to the Desktop and chose one of the .Mux files I had previously unzipped there. This was the process for both the file that worked, and the two that didn't.

@plusch
Did you manage to get it sorted ?

No, I still can't open two of those three files.

The way I did it was to create a new folder in my {User Library Folder}->Mux->Instruments folder for "bibz1st" and put the three files in there. Mux sees them in the usual drop down list as user presets. ({User Library Folder} is defined in your preferences. You may need to delete "MuxPresetFileCache.MuData" in the Mux sub-folder.)
