What values for each band?

Here you go, I made you preset for it, just import it

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/904 ... 0Vocal.zip
Passing, I can only import *.pluginpreset *.xlm files.
Im working in Izotope RX4, PROCESS => Plug-in => reaxcomp-standalone => Presets => Import presets.

I exported preset using Reaper and I think that's RX's internal preset management extension, download Reaper and see what I did, than do the same in RX :tu:

As I already said, it's replacement for both EQ and multi band compressor, but it's pretty advanced tool for beginner, you can do more harm than good using tools like that, so just stick with EQ and use graphical ones that have many bands so you can pull every one of them and use your ears to determine does that particular frequency range works for you or not, that's enough :tu:

You have well recorded modern material, I had something badly recorded on cassette recorder from 80's, than that converted badly from tape into lousy mp3 and that material than handled to me for rescue, some of that stuff were quiet and so badly recorded, I needed to really squeeze some stuff out of them, but you don't have to or have headroom to do that, you have clipped material that doesn't suffer from dynamics, just usual restoration tasks. :tu:

Passing Bye: Thanks again, but ... I downloaded Reaper (reaper.fm) and try to import *.FXP file in any settings. No success.
So still no progress in multiband compressor task. Any other idea how to proceed?

Strange... :scared:

Well, they both (Audition's one from picture and ReaXcomp) are sharing almost the same controls, so try to replicate everything you can see in there, there's not much, because only orange&green bands are working on audio, other two aren't, so focus on them only :tu:

To get good results from it, you need to understand compression, already left you videos that can help, it's not about settings that much, but about hearing what they does, understanding what you want to do, so just take crossover points as something worth sticking too and than try to tweak everything else going further than it's shown, relying more on ears, backing off threshold and compensating appropriately.

Compression is not instant gratification kind of effect in the beginning, it really takes time to sink in and make sense, than get applied appropriately and with taste, it's easy to over do it and it's even easier to ruin everything, it's just not about doing it "right", it's knowing how to do it appropriately for particular situation and case.

Good luck :hug:

Butting in here but, I amazed myself when removing hiss and ambient niose from field,recordings,with MSpectralDynamics. I was able to make some pretty serious reductions before the artifacts became more obvious. I have no experience with RX4 to compare, but this ain't your grandmothers sound forge noise reduction add-on from '98 or so.

Thanks for chiming in, totally missed out on that, gonna give it a spin :tu:

Yikees, for 200 euros, it should really blow Acon Digital out of the water :o
