In the real music, beat is perceived by the human and 4/4 120 BPM on computer is same feeling as 8/8 60 BPM. But in computer music BPM is set for a certain convenience. For example in this DAW, the BPM is determined by the quarter note. http://www.steinberg.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=56065

This OP is annoyed by the feeling of BPM changed when denominator changed. He wanted to set the standard of beat to the eighth note.

People with NO musical knowledge can use a sequencer with multiple and odd time signatures with ease. no musical knowledge required. "if" the grid lines up. the way you currently have it set up will confuse people if they want to experiment because the metronome won't click properly and the grid gets all outa wack.

By adding multiple time signatures you avoid having users getting confused as to why everything gets out of wack. saving customer support time. If it's not possible to add then that's ok. if it IS and it's not a Huge PITA to implement.. then let's figure it out.

Seriously though, I doubt many people who buy FL studio care about multiple time signatures. There are plenty of other DAWs that fill that role just fine already.

Hey Gol, you probably knew this going in but you won't be convincing anybody of anything over here. Your issues with music theory would barely find resolution in a much more serious discussion. Music theory is a touchy sore spot that nobody will let the doctor look at. This discussion will only ever go in circles. IMO you should just ditch out and save responses for more technical questions relating to FL or some other such software topic.

Love the software btw. All of it. Your synths, FX plugins and DAW.

Yes, I love Sytrus and Harmor!
Just wish, both were combined in one mega-synth (with better interface for Sytrus-part, and the possibility to send Harmor-OSCs into audio-filters).
