Can you copy and paste a layer from a version 1 patch to a new version 2 patch?
I think mine didn't - just found that in the manual it says
'NOTE: Modulation Routings are not included with the settings that are copied and pasted using the Copy/Paste Layer commands.'

Does it copy the fx racks? My test seems to suggest it didn't.

I bought a Mercedes Benz yesterday, it`s such a shame that it doesn`t have 5 wheels.

Just purchased it, waited until things died down a bit and glad I did as the whole process went flawlessly. Still trying to get used to it, it is not immediately obvious how to just see the new sounds. The EDM sounds are actually good and even though I do not do EDM I can see myself using them. Disappointing there are no new voice patches. Seems to run slower than Omni 1 with it taking some time to load a patch and sometimes UI is a bit unresponsive. Still plenty of new sounds to explore early days but they sound very good

Is anyone else getting weird error popups on certain patches? Try human voices and go down to Pop Background Oos1. It keeps saying file is missing or corrupt. Anyone having problems with that one or others?

No such problem here, it loaded just fine. It sounds like one of your soundsource database libraries might be missing or corrupt in your STEAM folder.

Thanks for checking. I guess I'll try with my backup STEAM folder from Omnisphere 1 and do the update again

No problem, glad to help.

You might only need to replace these databases (Soundsource 2.0c):

Code: Select all

STEAM\Omnisphere\Soundsources\Factory\Core Library\Human Voices\Human Voices *
If you download an MD5 tool like http://www.winmd5.com/ the MD5s of my libraries are the following:

Code: Select all

Human Voices 01.db 12fefb78a131ed0ed22586fc7315717e
Human Voices 02.db 373ed8777615d038de6b62a70ebbfa57
