I've been having problems with crackling and popping noises in Logic (OS X 10.3.4, Lpro 6.4.1) for a while. I thought this was a problem with my audio interface (Emagic A62) but I just tried and I got the same junk with sticking the headphone straight in the Mac.
I've tried all sorts of things but no luck. So I removed (on a hunch) SampleTank from my song, and no more crackling noises!.
Hm. Much as I dislike ST in general, there are a couple of sounds in it I would like to keep using. Any idea what's happening here and what I can do about it?

Please contact IK tech support through www.sampletank.com TVic. If I knew the answer myself I would tell you but I haven't touched ST1 in quite a while. One thing you can do is additionally get an ST2 LE module for cheap and have more sounds plus it can playback your other ST1 sounds as an extra bonus. I mean, that is not what I suggest as a "solution" (tech support can do that) but as another thing you can do to avoid the issue and even enhance the sounds you have.
But, to just fix the problem you have you'll have to contact tech support. We don't really use the forum as any kind of official IK tech support which was being misunderstood about 6 months ago and we cleared that up. It is a Sonic Reality run forum. We do our best to help and we even get Jason in here once in a while to answer a few things in general. But your problem is very specific to your set up (in other words, most people's systems weren't having the same problem).
You can also try emailing jason@ikmultimedia.com but he is not the only person in tech support there that can help you. The best is to go through the email link on sampletank.com although it is the weekend now.
