I thought you'd be able to save one or two instruments at least
Don't remember well. But I never regretted having Awave. It does loads of copying-this-into-that-format and is a fine thing to make your soundfonts or instruments. I mainly use it for quick-building of (now) humble soundfonts. Only thing I'd look after is some friends tell me if I had a REAL fine sampler I would not need this "build-an-instrument"-function of Awave. Not sure about that, I'm glad I have it.

In the unregistered version of Awave Studio, you can save instruments, layers, regions, and waveforms. You can not save collections (i.e. the top level item containing one or more instruments. But saving an instrument will, for most format, create what is effectively a 'single-instrument collection' file). Also, after saving a file, you have to restart before you can save another file. This allows you to fully test the instrument conversion capabilities, but of course only on a single instrument at a time and doing any serious work with it would be very tedious. But then again it is a trial version of a Shareware application, and not freeware...

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty new at this stuff, but your program looks real good and user friendly. I'll keep learning and let you know how it goes.
