Hi guys & gals
I've put together a playlist of some of my favourite trance tracks from yesteryear. It's in rough chronological order. Some real inspiration to be had from these old tunes if you like trance.

Well, hope you enjoy.

Yes I'm going to keep an eye on it to make sure there aren't any duds in the list. Also, these are all the highest quality versions I could find, plus they are all clean vids, no nude chicks, safer for work

I am continuing to fix the time line. I find it fascinating seeing how trance evolved, who was clearly influenced by what and so on. I love the 1999 period. That's the peak for me.
edit - Sorry garry, no Fragma! haha, or Alice Deejay.

I hate to be that guy, and I do love a lot about modern trance, but the older stuff gets me in the heart. Absolute mastery. The musical quality is outrageously good. The synth programming was sublime too. Those older tunes are the core of my inspiration.kangul wrote:Thank you very much.
It is actually very interesting to see how trance have degraded through the years.
And you can listen to a few tunes in a row without your ears bleeding afterwards. The mixing was often done i proper studios I think, according to a lot of sleeve notes I've seen.
Also, you got to give these guys credit for what they achieved with their gear.

Totally agree with you here, the sounds of early trance have always fascinated me. Outstanding synth programming skills. Even the minimal sounding tracks, like Jam and Spoon remix of Age Of Love, is full of life and energy.Aiynzahev wrote: I hate to be that guy, and I do love a lot about modern trance, but the older stuff gets me in the heart. This was the first ever remix I heard of Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar back in '93. There are a lot of remixes of the original I think this is the best of the lot.

It's amazing how many people have mentioned this one to me. I love it too but I never knew it was so popular.lotus2035 wrote:Brainchild - Symmetry C
Thanks for all your suggestions everyone.
There is one tune that continues to allude me, I cannot remember who made it or what it's called, but I do remember the melody. I'll try to recreate it and you see if anyone knows it.
