OMG! It's all true!!!! Omnisphere 2 is just STUPID c0o! Using only 4 of the first 10 factory patches I made this track....just couldn't stop....so addictive....

...this track is totally original. I'm using Spectrasonics' Stylus RMX and 4 instances of Omnisphere 2 ONLY...all instruments were performed with midi guitar. There is no 'real' guitar on this track at all. :)

+1... very new-agey :) ... nicely done, indeed. Just need a little talking drum and some distant bird calls for the first part. And the combo texture @ 3:40 is definitely cool. Also, excellent job on the mix. :tu:

Hello Omnisphere Users and Profs..

I have a question about the new Phrases in Omnisphere 2. If I load a Phrase, for example one of the Voices of Africa, and play them on my Midikeys Note by Note, the getting pitched up correctly when "Tracking" is lighted, but also the speed of the played Sample rises from Note to Note. Is this a Bug, or must I mapped the Samples for myself, that they not only corrected pitched, and also correctly Tempo-synced to my Win 7 64, Host Cubase 7 64 ? If there is a description anywhere, where´s to find?
In NI Kontakt 5 I know how it works, but in Omnisphere 2 it makes me helpless.
Can someone help me, I´ve don´t find the answer in the Help or on other places.

Omnisphere does not offer any realtime timestretching like Kontakt.
The only way to manipulate the timing behaviour of the phrases is by running them through the granular engine in Omnisphere but the result will not sound like the Kontakt Timemachine.

Omnisphere 2 does support more BPM tricks up its sleeve.

You can create some very nifty tricks with the sounds including the phrases to make them follow the music better.

A nice step forward from the original Omni.

I would be happy, if the Samples mapped playable, so I think I have to dive into Granular, first tests not impress me, maybe I'm to "Oldschool" with Sounds and Synthesis. The tests sounds always to harsh for me ears, but have to try more. :phones:

Apropos: Your Tracks on YT sounds and looks very good!! I really relax while listening. :tu:

Sure, here is an example using one of the "Voices of Africa" phrases you mentioned.
To make it more fun, I also added a Yodeller and additional vocal to be triggered by the mod wheel.
The drums were added for the sake of sync example.

The phrase is edited using sample start, ADSR and filter controls.
Then the vocal is setup to the arp allowing it to synchronize with the drums.
It is then played as any instrument, retaining pitch and rhythm so it now synchronizes with the music.


All the FX are done in the presets and also synchronized to the BPM and mod wheel.

Hope that gives you some ideas.. :)
