Is there a update? i have the same problem Mountain Lion 10.8.5

Question from a windows 7 user: installation apart from some not severe issues (VST not in the path I have chosen, program installation path was set from installation program and could not be changed....) worked. Copied the VST manually to where it should be, programs worked.

And now the great BUT: NO ELEMENTS NOWHERE. Searche all the drives, whole PC for *.elem, only found about a dozen from the old rapture, but no new ones.

Anyone had same issue ? Just had contacted support but maybe someone just had problem and found solution. I have already installed the actual update, that dont help.

Kind regards,

Richard

P.S.: apart from missing elements on first view really a great synth from the perspective of presets/sounds

Post

I can confirm the same on the Mac....no sign of existing elements, and "save element" does not indicate the location.....

Post

Just realized that the expansion packs all are missing too :x

Manually downloading and installing wont help either, tried with the gibson pack.

No answer from the support though I must admit that if they located in germany it was night there so I am looking forward hearing from them today I hope.

Anyway, to sell a program which MAYBE reached the alpha stadium.....

So looking forward to the beta someday.....

Richard,
The Cakewalk forums are full of posts like yours. It seems most users have had problems with at least some of the presets not installing. Cakewalk have acknowledged the issue and it sounds like they already release an update to the Command Center to help Mac users. Hopefully a Windows patch will be coming soon.

One question for you Richard, did you install from the Cakewalk Command Center? I first tried to install manually from the downloaded files and it only partially worked. After reinstalling the preset packs from the CCC, most everything seems to show up now.

I'm new to Rapture, but have just noticed the "multimode voices" knob does not seem to function with oscillators. If I find a preset in which it is on, then try to change the number of voices, it goes off and stays off. If I start from Init preset and add an oscillator, still cannot make any changes to this knob. What am I missing?

EDIT: Found it, you need to drag UP on the knob in an odd way, but it works.

Hello Dan,

thank you for your reply, I did evrything like it is told in the installation instructions over the command center.

And at first most things (apart from the VST not installing in the path I have chosen during installation, have to copy it manually, and the path for the programs which I just could NOT change during installation - was greyed out -) seems fine, nor error messages, nothing.

So I just realized that there was nothing fine at all when I was looking for the elemnts which where just NOT THERE.

And then I realized most of the packages are not there either....

Then I tried to do manual installation of one pack just to give it a try but just wont help...

Still no reaction from the support, so thats seem to be alpha (if not worse...) too....

Normally I am not that harsh but this is no one man band and the prize is not cheap either, so at least they should have verified that the installation at least in most cases works, thats just :x

Getting better from hour to hour.....

Still no answer from support (I am sure I wont get any at all....)

And now it is killing REGULARLY my Mulab projects. And: there is NO other synth, so it is quite obvious WHO kills Mulab....

I am really LONG have lost the fun on it....only reason I post: should they really come threw with this SHIT ??????

So I only can tell anybody who has not bought this: WAIT !!!!!!

till this is on a state where normally people post a beta for testing.....

So many great one man developpers really suffering, answering day by day, 24 hours here in the forum, really WORRYING and CARING about things they really believe in and then this F.....B....S

All the more baffling since, according to their own staff on their own forums, they've been working on this for several years.

You're in an amazing state - so stay there.

O.k., finally I get an answer and it starts getting  . If you cant  no more, you know,

Cant deny you a short summary of these deep, deep words of wisdom:

EDIT: just have to say in my own words, just read that it is forbidden to cite....

- Elements in Rapture Pro can be audio files like wave or sfz, they are in the multisamples folder

- with rapture pro there are no associated files with file type .elem

Sorry, the original text was much more funny, but I think you get the yoke

And now have a look at this screenshot:

No words left....
