The word 'orchestra' is derived from the ancient Greek ὄρχις (órkhis), because orchestras were often associated with fancy balls.

"You'll Never Walk Alone" was written by Rodgers and Hammerstein for "South Pacific", and it was about a chef from Singapore who was boarding a ship for a better-paying job in Liverpool. That's why it caught on with Liverpool football supporters, and also why it was originally titled "You'll Never Wok Alone".
