Just go to ilok.com and download their license centre. Like anything, ilok is always best downloaded from the source itself as the latest version, not the one included with plug in installers. Doing this simple step will solve the issue you are experiencing, I dare say it, 100% of the time (well for disclaimer reasons, 99.999999999%).

Thanks, but I did download the license centre from ilok.com. I was thinking to just test it before I reinstall Windows anyway.

Hi TheoM,

We have no plans to drop the Pace option. We have a lot of PT/AAX users and other Pace users. So moving ahead, we expect to provide dual licensing options (Pace and homebrew non-Pace) for everything. TS-2 is temporarily Pace only. Whatever non-Pace method we evolve to will allow multiple machines to be authorized, that's pretty important, something I look for whenever I buy software.

When you say outperform, do you mean it's the most convenient for users? There's no argument there. If you mean it's impossible to crack or abuse from the developer's POV, then no. That's why Andy from Cytomic rejected the idea. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt that he's done more research in that area than most end users.

I didn't even download a demo of TS 1 becasue of the reported CPU drain. But I did demo TS 2 and – wow!

Last night I experimented with placing it on the master bus of a more or less finished mix of a multi mic trad jazz concert recording – AU7 mode, about 50% drive and 75% wet on the mix/dry dial. My rather OK mix suddenly glued together in a way I can't really explain. And when I bypassed TS 2, the mix sounded somehow sterile, not bad but… not 'jazz'…

So, of course I got all fired up when I got the JRR newsletter in my inbox a couple of hours ago, advertising Tube Saturator 2 and, as it turned out when I added TS 2 to my cart, with an attractive 'auto group buy' discount.

Only…

WARNING!

The serial I got from JRR was for TS 1, not TS 2. I didn't notice until I had registered at the Wave Arts website, got the iLok redeem code and used it.

Bill at Wave Arts quickly sorted me out (fabulous support!), but he also explained that currently, TS 2 is ONLY sold through the Wave Arts website, not by any resellers.

So, DO NOT currently buy it from JRR or any other dealer. They haven't got the product! At least not yet.

And TS 2 is a fabulous product.

may i ask how you could run the demo? somehow it doesnt work here

i have TS1 full version, wave arts didnt reply yet...

You need to have an iLok account, that's all, but you can create the account during the demo set-up.

Bill from Wave Arts explained the demo procedure like so:

"After you install and load it, TS-2 will bring up a Pace activation dialog. Click the Try button and then it will ask you for your Pace account and give you the option to go to iLok.com to create an account. Once you enter account credentials it will ask you to move license to either an iLok or machine, and then will start a 14-day trial. No limitations other than 14 day time."

I know how it is… they keep disappearing and reappearing. Probably programmed that way, just for a laugh.

demo'ing TS2 atm and dunno if the upgrade is worth so far. dont hear much difference yet.

Well to me that's the whole idea. To offer the same quality with less CPU efforts and some new features like switching on/off each stage or the wet/dry knob for example (which I remember asking them to add to the unit).
The only thing I'm not sure about is if the new "12AU7" circuit is a whole different one than the "FAT" mode in the V1...
