I've already posted my first 2, and for the 3rd one I had more than 1 candidate, and the choice has proven difficult, but I've settled for this one: Yello -- Solar Driftwood (from the album Pocket Universe)

er... keep on rocking (despite all obstacles  ) :band2:

Very difficult... Probably...
The Beatles - Yesterday
Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World
John Lennon - Love

Sun Ra, nice!

3 out of the many... :wheee:

Forbidden fruit - BT/PVD remix

Humpty Dumpty - Chick Corea

Anoushka Shankar - Beloved

I like Vurt's response: Ask me tomorrow and it might be different. But after way too much thought that I have put into this, these are 3 songs I still like as much today as I did when I first discovered them:
Alone - The Gathering
To Build a Home - Cinematic Orchestra
Breathe - Telepopmusic

Post

I could name dozens, but here are 3 of my favorites in wildly different genres:
Michael Ball in one of the best songs/performances from Les Miserables.
Bonnie Raitt in probably her most affecting song ever.
Benny Goodman's full performance of Sing Sing Sing at Carnegie Hall (music only on this one).

None are songs. How about no genre?

Nubian Sundance (Weather Report's Mysterious Traveler) - they're just getting warmed up after 3-4 minutes

WakaJawaka (Frank Zappa's WakaJawaka) - Ansley Dunbar invents a new style of polyrhythmic, elastic, swinging drums, Sal Marquez blows his best, and Don Preston plays one of the great synth solos of all time in 1974 (not to mention an historic Zappa guitar solo)

Regyptian Strut (Frank Zappa's Läther / Sleep Dirt) - featuring one of the most legendary bands ever assembled, and Zappa's best

When I was a wee laddie, some songs sounded like magic and I felt them inside me. This was the beginning of my lifelong search for sound I could feel inside.

Sorry, that`s four. I don`t have favorite songs. There is too much great music to choose from. I do have fave groups/albums though.
....................Don`t blame me for 'The Roots', I just live here. :x

Thanks for Nubian Sundance! Haven`t heard that in a lot of yrs....it goes on the turntable tomorrow.
Wakajawaka is just a classic...period.
Had Sal Marquez in our postal van after a show. He told us if Frank ever caught him he`d be fired....I told him not to worry and to pass it over.

@Numaniod

These guys remind me of what's called the 'Nordic' Aliens.
According to some, space aliens are doing genetic experiments mixing human genes with alien and one variation is the 'Nordic'.

Watch here at 1:50 and tell me the one on the rock is completely human.
