new tune....absynth2, tubilesax twice, slayer2, onboard drum sampler (orion platinum). kind of a jazzy thing with the electric guitar tripping in about halfway thru. comments appeciated!

Cute.
But I wouldn't classify it as jazz of any kind. It's fairly straightforward riff-based rock. Maybe jazz rock: it reminds me of something by Passport.
A good piece of music though. There's plenty in it, and it doesn't overstay its welcome.
I like the bass sound. Is that Absynth?

For some reason I was not to crazy about the brass work in here. Great bass indeed although I felt the release should have been longer.
Very playfull song though and enjoyed

t.v......i don't do too well at identifying music genres.....plus there are so many more than when i was a kid (70's) and you had three kinds...mine, grandma's, and country.
yes, the bass was absynth2, one of realmarco's presets with a little tweak. i may swap that out, tho, for exactly what mystahr is talking about. it had quite a bit of undesirable harmonics on the release and i tried to get them out with eq and compression. when you hear it raw, the release is much longer, but i don't like it. probably need to tweak more at the source.
