Hammer action (translate semi weighted perhaps)keys and no onboard synth engine,
Yup, played one, ok, more like plinked a few of its keys a few weeks ago. It's hammer weighted, not semi weighted like you hoped. Automatically ruled it out for me as I only like piano weighted for playing.. well.. pianos. ;) Hence why I only plinked a few keys and moved on.

Hmmmmm..................thanks. Maybe a PC 88 and a little more effort at mapping then.

The *ONLY* 88 key keyboard I'm aware of right now that's semi weighted and 88 keys is the new Fatar TMK88 that just came out. Big problem? No :x  :x pitch wheel! Felt decent, but again, plink plink plink, was all I got to play with it.

Hmmmm... I did think about doing that, but realized how much of a pain it be. You'd have to have two seperate song projects each time you use both, and write on one, then the other. Too much hassle, and just sold Logic off instead.

I seem to remember that you could slave Logic to either MMC or MTC back from years and years ago, but man, that was like 1997-1998 when I was looking at that. I remember it drifted quite a bit though. :? I'd watch my BPM bounce back and forth between 119 and 120 back and forth during playback as Logic detected the BPM.
