Rapture Pro 2.0.1 Update has just been announced. It includes updates to the installer that should hopefully address the installation issues that have been described here...

Hello,
Regarding the Legacy Galbanum packs loading in Rapture Pro. There is an issue specific to the Galbanum packs where the path in the SFZ file is not recognizing the sample files path, in Rapture Pro.

This can be manually fixed by cross checking your log file with the actual program and reloading the SFZs in each Element page, from the corresponding Multisample folder.

This will be fixed in the next update, which will be coming up later this month.

aMUSEd, I will send you a PM regarding your particular snafu, we will do what we can to accommodate!

Thanks for your support!

So, may I have KVR opinions regarding this synth? There isn't a downloadable demo, and I'm curious, as I'm a huge fan of Z3ta. Any input would be greatly appreciated, I've never owned the original.
Ha ha suck it!

More opinions than 35 pages?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

They have installed to a custom folder and I have added that folder to Cubase 8 search list.

The VST3 version of Rapture Pro version works fine. I don't generally use VST3 plugins though.
No change whatsoever for me regarding the above.

Updated Command Center, restarted everything mulitple times, installed the Rupture Pro update and this piece of shit still can't get authorized and still runs in demo mode, even though Command Center shows serial properly and says it's a "Connected" product. Mind you, Command Center still shows 2 packages as red, even though they've been (re)installed multiple times. Also produces no sound, even though it's supposed to work in demo mode.

Tried reading documentation, to find out how to cleanly uninstall it, and of course - the procedure described in the manual can't be done (at least on OSX version of Command Center), because Uninstall option does not exist. I have seen proof of concept projects, coded by 13 years olds, work infinitely better than this.

Now trying to "Install All" everything one last time from Command Center, but something tells me it won't change a thing. It feels like I am back in 1997, fixing shit on Windows 95.

Amount of time wasted on this pile of shit is unreal.

Update: full reinstall finished, now everything is green in Command Center, but pile of shit is still running in demo mode and I am giving up on this. Also, before 2.0.1 update it would run in demo mode but would display my serial (when clicking on RUPTURE PRO logo in top-right corner), now it shows "DEMO MODE (0, 2)" instead of the serial. I am just happy that Cakewalk is not in business of making medical equipment, cars or something similar. I have plenty of good synths that just simply work, no point in wasting more time on something that doesn't. I usually don't regret spending money on something, but in this case I can't stop thinking about all the other useful things, that actually work, that I could have purchased instead.

edit: ah, also forgot to mention one of my favourite features of Command Center. It starts downloading, then if your Internet connection gets cut (I get disconnected by my ISP every 24 hours), Command Center does not notice that. It doesn't actually notice anything. It just hangs there, sitting and pretending to download, forever. Well, maybe not forever, but I stopped it after 30 minutes of waiting to see if it is really that braindead. Of course, when you try to install the same soundset again, it does not resume where it stopped last time, it starts from the beginning. It is truly amazing.

It seems like Rupture Pro is really a P.I.T.A....

Is this an omen for the "New" Cakewalk under Gibson's control ?

I've been a Cakewalk user since the stone age and I have most of their major products in my account...

This and the new Sonar subscription series were the first products I didn't buy because I'm not a fan of Henry's "business plans"...

He has raped and pillaged too many good companies over the years...

I'll stick with the products I have, but I won't be buying anything new from Cakewalk...

It will be interesting to see what happens to the company under Henry's financial guidance ...

He's got quite a reputation
No auto tune...

Unfortunately for Cakewalk (and people who wasted money on this), all this crap will have a big negative impact on their reputation.
