Wagtunes, yeah, go crazy, I won't mess with the engine anymore.
I will just add things now, and won't replace anything.

Great downloading them now.WilliamK wrote:Guys, sorry I forgot the preset files, I will handle this now. As for presets that are silent, if you load the previous or next preset, and go back to the silent preset, does it play? If not, could you please tell me which one it is so I can fix the problem?
Yes I found out that some presets that load silent do make a sound if you go back to them, weird.
Can you get rid of that save dialogue please?
Why is the sample window so big? It seems to take up a lot of space but doesn't do much, if it had more editing controls I could see a reason for it to dominate the display but tbh I would prefer the space to be used by other controls and knobs etc, and ideally not to have to switch between the sample and seq view all the time.
At some point a favourites or ratings feature would be useful

Excellent, that's much better, it was annoying me.
Really enjoying have those old presets mostly back.

Just went to jump in and do some patches and realized I'd better check to make sure what sample content will be included in the WS8 release. I don't want to use any samples that aren't included. For example will the Famous Keys samples be included ? If so that will give me enough ammunition to get started.

So basically all the sounds that came with the WS 7 install ? I have so many sample sets I'm having a hard time remembering which ones came as factory content and which ones are third party.
Anyway encountered an issue. Perhaps user error but it would not seem so.....the Octave knob in the Layer section of a Super Osc has no effect. Volume, Pan, and Fine work just as expected.
EDIT: Same with the Sample Player and 3 Osc modules. Layer Settings Octave knob has no effect. Of course the 3 Osc has it's own Octave adjustment knobs.

There's no octave option. Use the latest beta default skin as it shows semi instead of octave.
And yeah. All v7 stuff will be included soon.

This bug is driving me nuts, but I did a test that seems to have fixed the problem. I did a MAC test file, could you test it out, please? I named the file MAC_WS_V8_Beta_22_Special_Test.zip and uploaded for users who purchased the product (I think you did already, right?)aMUSEd wrote:Yes I found out that some presets that load silent do make a sound if you go back to them, weird.

Ahh I see. I thought the skin edit would work. It's just a few color adjustments but on an older version.
What happened to the X Fade in the Wavesequencer ?
Also this issue has been around since I can remember....it's very hard to tell visually what sample or layer you're working with in the WS:
The first three layers don't show up at all. It's not until you get to number 4 that the bar begins to show. If you're only using 3 samples but using them over and over in different orders or with different tuning there's no way to tell what sample is loaded in what slot unless you mouse over the slot. I've long said the resolution should be more coarse so you can see what sample you're working with or instead of a bar just show the number of sample that's loaded.
Ok I'll use the default.Limeflavour wrote:Some small things are being corrected but nothing that will break your mod.

I miss the X-Fade in the sequencer. That way I had control over the amount of crossfading of each sound individually....
Can we have that back please?

It's gone ?
I thought I was just missing something. X Fade is how I got the evolving morphing soundscapes I love Wusikstation so much for...........
Imported legacy presets still crossfade so it must still be in there. I'm going to try loading one of them and using it as a template...........back in a few to see how it works.........
EDIT: Yes you can use a preset created in WS 7 for X Fade but then you're stuck with whatever settings it has.

Acutually it is done in a different way with the poly wseq. Add attack and release to the envelope and you will see, hear, the difference... but I do plan on a mono/legacy wseq with xfade option. Just need more time.

I'm afraid I don't understand how Attack and Release will allow us to smoothly Fade between samples loaded in the Wavesequencer module and/or have different fades between different samples.
Why not just add the option back to the menu in the Wavesequencer as in version 7 ?
