Without reading all the posts in here, can I use the 3rd party soundsets/presets that I have?
I have the VS and OB Resurrection which I really like, and would love to use again in this new version. http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=186040

Ok I see now how ADSR can have a cross fade effect but it doesn't seem to be as smooth or controllable. I much prefer the control of X Fade in previous versions.

I'm using the Spacehawk samples in WS8 and they've been around for a long time so I'd have to say yes you can use the VS and OB sample sets.Examigan wrote:Without reading all the posts in here, can I use the 3rd party soundsets/presets that I have?

EDIT: I just copied over the VS Resurrection samples from my WS7 install and they are working just fine in WS8.

You can control that yourself. Click the W logo. Uncheck "Ask when preset has changes." Done. Enjoy!aMUSEd wrote:Can you please get rid of the unnecessary warning every time I switch a patch that I have not saved the last patch, it's a real pain?
Oh, I see William already answered this question but I don't see how to delete this post. Sorry. Best wishes everybody.

On the Master Page, Semi is still labeled Octave Tuning (Default Skin).
Please an option to Snap to Semitone in the Mod Sequencer.
EDIT: Getting constant crashes with the Drawable Osc in Reaper. It's pretty hard to crash Reaper on this system....it's normally rock solid which is why I use it for testing. Seems to be related to the Dual Osc Button

Thanks - I'll try that tomorrow.WilliamK wrote:This bug is driving me nuts, but I did a test that seems to have fixed the problem. I did a MAC test file, could you test it out, please? I named the file MAC_WS_V8_Beta_22_Special_Test.zip and uploaded for users who purchased the product (I think you did already, right?)aMUSEd wrote:Yes I found out that some presets that load silent do make a sound if you go back to them, weird.

No need to apologise, I just saw some bitmap flaws in your skin that I know are corrected in a later edit.Teksonik wrote:Sorry Anders please accept my apologies. I meant no disrespect. It's just to me there is too much blue. I will wait until your color mods are released.Limeflavour wrote:The skin is not completed, it's still being worked on but release if you feel the need to do so.
Some small things are being corrected but nothing that will break your mod.
There will also be several colormods from me once the skin is done.
I'm all for the editing of my skins but I think it would be nice if the product has the least amount of flaws possible first.
I have sent William an update that corrects some more of my mistakes, I also made a desaturated version that is similar to the one you displayed. Maybe it will be included in the next update of W8.

It's still happening with some presets, they don't play until I go back to them.
Also some presets in Ethermos Natural are so quiet I can hardly hear them )thought at first it was the same problem but these ones are playing).
The selected preset in the tree view should move down as I move between patches using the arrow keys
Can we have an option to keep HQ mode on?

Thank you so much, Lime!

I'm uploading the file Skins_Update_Beta_22.zip so you guys can quickly update the skin files. Remove all folders from the ./Data/Skins folder and them apply the contents of the file. I will include this in the next official update with the installer for Windows and MAC (tomorrow as I get back at the office).
Cheers, WilliamK

I've installed the new skins and really like the light grey version. Very easy to work with for long periods of time.
I did notice that the Semitone adjustment knob on the FX/Master page is still labeled Octave Tuning. Just thought I would mention it...........
