Sad to read many people give up. The name of the synth is the key. It's kind of spritual way to get next Evo(lution) and this synth work. Doing this is the spirit of OSC. The circle is complete. Try some sound meditation. I'll do it.

Only giving up because I can't get it to work. Crashes 3 DAWs. Not much I can do about that.

If only someone could provide an AU version for Mac :( I would be extremely happy to participate :D

I have no idea why this happens to you. I'm using the plugin on 2 PC in Reaper 32 & 64 with multiple instances (up to 8 right now). Worked for hours. Nothing crashed. Have recently tested with OpenMPC (1 instance) and I could get it run immidiatly. You wrote nearly 100 times now you crashed the 3 DAWs. Did you try to discover which actions result in crashes and is there a workaround for this. Do all crash at same point? If you can specify the problem maybe someone can help.

I had trouble to run it too, but since I was able to run it, it didn't crash.

Maybe will catch later this month. Here in Middle-Europe is sunny weather and and I don't want to sit in front of computer screen in my spare time to tweak this fiddly synth. But I have already some basic groove so maybe later I will do something decent. I don't need to push myself too hard... just as easy as water flows down. :-)

I'll jump this round because holidays!

So... the DAW crashing thing... one option is to take ownership of your VSTPlugins folder, which is a painful Windows procedure in and of itself, but then once you do that, give yourself Full Control of the whole shebang. Can probably just do the top Mantra Evo folder under VSTPlugins if you want to be a tad more secure. This fixed my crashing and allowed me to run S1 as a normal user.

Brutal getting a decent kick out of this thing. After a full evening, and 3 layers, I still had to use the magic-want 808 EQ preset to get something listenable. That preset presumably violates the rule about not making the synth unrecognizable, and yet only works sometimes since the OSCs seem to be exclusively free-running. Total classic OSC synth that way, though. Might come back to it later in the month after moving, now that I've put in the hard yards to get it running smoothly.

Tis the nature of a good challenge :) But yeah that is unfortunate that synth edit synths are usually the more challenging ones in the OSC, because they can be super fun.

BJ, I don't mind a challenging synth. I've yet to meet one I couldn't program, including Cycle. But when the darn thing keeps blowing up every DAW you try it in or hangs on just trying to load a patch, there really isn't much you can do. I tried bridging it with JBridge but no go.

Well I've made some patches for Mantra Evo (been at it all day!)
Hope some of you find them useful :)

Richard, you are a life saver. :hyper:
I just changed Pulse to Sine in Kick 1 and that's all I needed (playing note C2).
I'll check the rest of the presets later. Distortion is brilliant.
Thank you so much.

Richard Semper: Wow ... those are some really nice patches --- thanks!

Thanks so much RichardSemper.

It was very helpful to see what you did.

Quick question! Can we use the newly released Redux ? It's a paid plugin, but it is more like a shortcut to using both Renoise and another DAW separately, and it's mainly for sequencing.

I've noticed the mono switch does not appear to save with the patches. Some of the sounds in my bank were intended to play legato, so in these instances you may need to flick the mono switch for the glides to work properly :)
