Cakewalk HAD some great products...Ben H wrote: Only for the one's that had a high opinion of them to begin with.
Sonar X3e Pro x64 is a great program with a fantastic workflow...
The Pro Channel plugins are excellent and with the additional plugins that come with Sonar, you don't really need anything else to deliver professional results..
They had some great synths that were brought into the company by Rene, but unforunately he didn't stick around long enough to keep developing those ideas and they seem to have suffered as a result...
I'm sure that if Rene had been at the helm during the development of the new synths, that they would not have suffered from the very poor execution that seems to have plagued much of Cakewalk's recent efforts.
It is really unacceptable to release products into the marketplace that are so obviously flawed...
They should have been thoroughly tested before any general release...
I don't know what's going on at Cakewalk, but it certainly doesn't seem so positive these days
No auto tune...

Actually, is there anyone here using OSX 10.9.5, that has Rupture Pro authorized and working properly?

Yes, everything working apart from parts of the Piscis bank (which is being fixed).

Also using 10.9.5, no serious problems. In fact, the new factory patches are quite impressive, and the old ones also sound very good.
Music you can believe in:

I have to say that Rapture Pro under Windows runs flawlessly in any host I tested it (and there were several). Installation and authorization ocurred without any issues, even under Windows 10 Technical Preview. The only issues currently seem to be related to Mac OS X, but I'm sure they are working hard to get them sorted out.

Just like they worked hard to get the issues sorted on the original Rapture for Mac?fmr wrote:The only issues currently seem to be related to Mac OS X, but I'm sure they are working hard to get them sorted out.

Anybody who bought the new Rapture Pro installed the update, and is it a big improvement?:
Rapture Pro 2.0.1 is an update to the Rapture Pro core installer, and contains several new features, fixes and workflow enhancements.

For me, Rapture Pro is stuck in demo mode, and so I am not inspired to do anything with it. Even with the 2.0.1 update, I am still not able to get Rapture Pro authorized on my 64-bit Windows 8.1 machine. Cakewalk Support has tried to help me get the product authorized, but so far, none of their suggestions have worked; Cakewalk support has not gotten back to me with any new suggestions to try in quite some time; I think they are stumped and fresh out of ideas.Numanoid wrote:Anybody who bought the new Rapture Pro installed the update, and is it a big improvement?:

Paying customers stuck in demo mode and yet there is still no way for potential customers to download a demo.

Yes working for me in Live too. I had the same problems initially with Command centre being very unstable on Mac when it was first released but once they got it stable enough it authorised fine.jc_vt wrote:True in Live 9 64-bit?

So, I decided to give this another try and contacted support (again) on 8th of June and asked for help in authorizing the Rupture Pro on OSX.
On 10th, I received a reply, where they state how my previous reply (support ticket response, basically, from last month) wasn't listed in their system (ok, haven't heard this one before, haha). They were also sure that I will get my Rupture Pro authorized. They also suggested few obvious things to try, which I already told them about in my initial email. They also asked me to provide them details from "About" box.
I sent them the details, hoping for quick response and solution for the problem. Silence.
Sent them another mail on 13th. More silence.
Sending them another mail now. I presume I'll get silence again.
I am not sure if I should laugh or cry.

A big 2 page spread review, but only 6/10 awarded from CM to Rapture Pro
Rapture Pro doesn't manage to bring its predecessors up to date, we're sad to say. It does come with a lot of sounds, though.
