Loading a project made with v2.0 beta3 in FLStudio 11.1.1 after replacing the dll with the new one, makes the Amp sustain value go to max (100%) on all instances of Charlatan, the values are correct when I replace the dll with the old one.

Is this a bug or should I not have used the beta3 ?
Same with all the presets i made. I guess this is the culprit:

  • Make Amp envelope sustain parameter logarithmic
I cannot say i understand the change, I had no problem with the sustain parameter so far.

Play note
Set voices to 7
Play note - get higher pitched sound
Move the detune knob
Back to original note
I can reproduce that and it was already there in the previous beta.

You are right. I just uploaded a quick fix without bumping up the version number. If you have projects using any of the betas, please re-download.

This is expected behavior. If unison detune is 0, it means no detune at all. Depending on the phase relationship of the unison voices, this results in weird timbres which can also appear to be pitched up.

Thanks, that make sense. I guess there's no point in setting multiple voices if you're not going to detune them.

Thanks also for this amazing synth! :tu:

Many of the default presets do not work properly, especially in "Basses" bank.

Confirmed. Looks like the "AMP ENV Sustain" state isn't properly re-loaded.

one thing though is that the sound behaves oddly when voices are added but not detuned.i would iron that out so that they sound the same every time because sometimes i really like the sound it makes when its not detuned but then it will sometimes change on another note.is there anyway to set osc restart or something? technicality shouldn't it just become louder? since you're just stacking the same waves on top of each other?

Does the post above address your issue?

I understand but no.see what i am asking for is the ability to keep the sound the same when there is no detune.as of now if there is no detune it will stack the waves with some phase differences or something.(it should just increase volume) but the timbre is Rather weird and sometimes cool, the downside however is that its random and uncontrollable. I say either make it so you can control the timbre or just make it so that it gets louder when there is no detune present. So that its always the same and predictable.
