I finally made it working.

I use mme or direct sound at the driver selection,
and the M-audio as outputs and it seems ok.

I don't know if i have any loss at sound quality,
as i don't know what exactly are these drivers.

Good job audiobulb, i like the sound.
Ambient is using the famous granular synthesis, right?
Correct me if i am wrong.

Wouldn't it be more complete if you add some LFOs on the controls?

Can the Mac version be used on a G4 computer (PPC processor) or is Intel only?
What is the lowest OSX version that it will run on (Tiger, Leopard, etc.)
What are the hardware requirements?

I would really like to try this program, but I'd hate to purchase and download it only to find out it won't run on my Mac.

Thanks.

OK. I finally upgraded my system to Snow Leopard, so now I can use this program....

LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!!!

A great tool to noodle with and create new source sounds. Something to replace my totally obsolete THONK 0+2 for granular synthesis!!!

Anyone else having issues with Ambient?

It turns out my audio is just fine since I'm using Logic with no problems, I think it has to do with MAX because I downloaded this other software:
http://www.giorgiosancristoforo.net/sof ... tions-1-0/

which has the same type of setup as Ambient and I can't get audio out of Variations either.

Any clues?

I did email support at AudioBulb too.

Have you tried downloading and reinstalling the Max Runtime?

Did you select the correct sound driver in 'settings', select an audio file to granulate under 'open' (it won't do anything otherwise) and then press 'start'?

Also, press 'random' a few times to make sure there's really no sound.

Thank you so much that was it, the 'open' part.

Starting you're your chosen source sound AMBIENT will support you to exploit the de-construction and redesign of your sound.
I re-read the instructions and found the above text in there stating that.
Note to self, RTFM :hihi:

There was a manual? :hihi:

See the manual is full of inspirational phrases - well worth the read!

Very nice, love the video demos. Sounds very electric and alive. I think it's a winner for me, I can see some great potential as a base for sound creation and sounds generator for further manipulations afterwards.

Question: since it’s built in Max/MSP, is there any hope for a Max For Live device?

Post

I'll ask Chris about Max for Live but no plans at the moment.

The software is still selling well because no two people can make it sound the same as everyone has their own source material - its very unique that way and finding its way into a number of great albums!

Thanks for your support.
