Here are some demos of the 5089.

All files are raw - no post-processing and perhaps not level matched.

Please be careful and do not listen to these files loud using headphones. There are strong resonant sweeps. You've been warned.

Tuning the two oscillators. Always a nice sound on a VCO synth, lol.

includes fast envelopes and some high resonance.

Looped envelopes. Great fun. Going through different loop rates and Osc waves and detuning.

This one shows the envelope speed (right at the start)

I love the many ways in which the Boomstar can be overdriven. This file shows that. First, the clean signal, then you hear the master overdrive (a click will signal it's 'on' status but then you can't miss that juicy sound anyway). Then, you hear the feedback alone, then both oscillators brought to 100%, and lastly the master volume goes up to 100%.

A 'weedy' lead to start with.

those pesky Marsians...they never stop the chatter....

and a short idea I was working on. Two panned leads are used - the sound of which I like a lot.

I'm thinking about getting me a new analogue synth.
I already have a Moog SlimPhatty, Minitaur, BassStation II and an MicroBrute.

I wonder how the Boomstar 5089 filter are compared to the Moog Phatty?
I also wonder how the 4075 stands up to the Korg ARP Odyssey?

Someone who can make a statement?
