Sorry, I don't make Linux binaries, you need to built it from github.

Get DX7 PGM works, but the text for the patch name is not translating right.
This is for the DX7-II only; my DX7 doesn't support the "DUMP PGM"... I think I will remove it.
It doesn't seem to respond to CC#2 Breath Control. What about Aftertouch?
Next version, this version is about the cart manager.

Some updates:

1. The CartManager shows only file that has 4104 bytes and the sysex mismatch is removed.
2. Sorry, the build is now 32/64bit for Mac.

On my computer Dexed-AudioUnit-64Bit is now running in Logic Pro X 10.1.1 under OSX-10.9-Mavericks.

Dexed will be one of my most important synths. Thank you so much for your work!

Any chance Dexed can poll the DX7 one patch at a time to recover all 32 Cart manager slots?

Can you make the top half of the cart manager auto-transmit to the DX7 for real-time patch auditioning?

Feature Request: With 8 Dexed I'm realizing a TX816-Layer-Sound in my daw. It would be great to have a finetune control for the whole patch in Dexed. Not in the final version of 0.9. But in the future?

Post

Is there a manual around for this at all?

Post

The Breakpoint parameter on Dexed is still different from the breakpoint parameter on the DX7.

Would be cool if in the future you could stack many different layers of sound (without having to use multiple instances), to make it sound super rich, and 64x unison like in FM8.

A totally reasonable suggestion because the 8 TF1 modules that can fit inside the TX816 MIDI Rack are the equivalent of 8 16voice DX7 modules. A maxed out TX816 rack can give up to 128 voice polyphony.

Maybe totally reasonable suggestion for something else, but certainly not for a strict DX7 emulation as Dexed is planned to be. Afaik it has already been mentioned by the dev that there will be (might be?) a different version in the future which can have some additional features. A maxed out TX816 is a maxed out TX816, not DX7.

Post

TX816 is nothing more than a DX7 x8

All that means is 8 MIDI channels corresponding to 8 mono outputs.

Well, since dexed is open-source, I guess anyone who is ready to take the challenge to make a TX816-type synth using dexed as a base, is free to do so?

This.

And it could be also very smart to remember that Dexed is a long time work (years of work and hundreds of white nights)... to provide a product as freeware.
