Perhaps they assumed that all their users' lives revolve around discussion groups, Facebag, etc. Not a good assumption. For my part, I have to avoid as many distractions as possible to stay productive. If they hadn't sent that email today, I still wouldn't know about it.
They used to notify me when they updated their software, so that's how I stayed in the loop, Camel-wise. But apparently, once they stopped updating their software, they went incommunicado. In the absence of any notifications from them, I had no reason to visit their website.
So, yeah...I guess you can say it worked for a some people, but clearly it didn't work for everyone.

Wow that is quick
Looks like that means there will be an Alchemy based instrument in the next version of Logic.

The remix pad.... really? I hope there is more to come.... Let me make 8 snapshots between all the plug-ins available in Logic Pro x and then let me do smooth interpolating morphs between them. That would be useful. I'm sure we see a bit more in Logic but the full Alchemy 2 engine?.... let's hope!!

It would be pretty amazing applied to something like Sculpture. If they have done this for all the presets for all their synths that's a heck of a lot of work though - 8 times the number of presets.Cinebient wrote:The remix pad.... really? Please Backup Your Camel Audio Software By July 7th
We would like to thank you for the support we've received over the years.
Camel Audio's plug-ins, Alchemy Mobile in-app purchases and sound libraries are no longer available for purchase. On July 7th, 2015, you will no longer be able to download any desktop products, documentation or access other information on the Camel Audio website.
We recommend you download all of your purchases and back them up now so that you can install them on new machines. To learn more, read How to Download and Backup Your Desktop Products. We have included a downloadable FAQ containing commonly asked support questions as well as product documentation.
Alchemy Mobile has now been updated to resolve an issue with restoring in-app purchases. Alchemy Mobile in-app purchases will continue to be available for download after July 7th. However, if you received mobile sound libraries for free as a result of purchasing the desktop version, then you should back them up before July 7th. To learn more, read How to Backup Your Mobile Sound Libraries.
Don’t hesitate to email us at support@camelaudio.com if you have any questions about downloading and backing up your software.
Thank you for choosing to use our plug-ins and sound libraries in your music.
Camel Audio
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

After finally Audio Units and full plug-in support in iOS 9 and this at least they preparing for something. I hope this time with less bugs. IPad pro with pro plug-ins and touch control would be great too. But who is gonna buy plug-ins for 100€ + then when you get them for 20 and less. I just wish they would make an OS X touch. Playing and editing via a touch screen is just a lot better. IOS is sadly still a smartphone OS
In general i think (sadly) that OS X is a bit of side project and iOS is the main focus (sure because it brings the most money). But maybe they buy microsoft in near future.... the world will be an apple. Cyberdyne meets matrix..... oh what was the topic...
Oh yes Alchemy

I tend to agree with this sentiment. I was looking at the apple store and was honestly gobsmacked at the way the prices seem to be ever increasing for less and less computer in the OS X market. Apple are unrelenting in their pricing for upgrading their systems from their more and more base units. I have been with Apple since 2006 when they went to Intel processors and became competitive....the current regime seems to be arrogant.Cinebient wrote: I just wish they would make an OS X touch. I was able to make music before Apple and no doubt I will be able to if and when I can no longer afford their products.

I can't wait to resynthesize the sound of people kicking themselves for selling their Alchemy licenses.

It's just a single leaked image. If it is actually some form of Alchemy (as it appears to be), then there will likely be much more to it. Let's just be patient and hope for some form of Alchemy 2
