" After the XILS 3 v2.0 and XILS 4, it’s now time for the Syn’X to be available with a soft ilok protection
  • Soft Ilok : No more obligatory physical dongle required
Update for forthcoming Syn’X 2.0 will be FREE !
Ilok 1&2 and eLicencer protections remain available for those who prefer these solutions

Update is free for all Syn'X owners !
"
Couple of questions.

1) I just got the email for the Mini Syn-X sale. If I got the Mini at the sale price, is it essentially the same deal as when I got the XILS 3 and upgraded to the 4, getting the discount on the 3 and having that essentially reduce the price of the 4? I'm referring to upgrading to the Syn-X. That's if there's even an upgrade path from the Mini to the full Syn-X.

2) When is Syn-X 2 scheduled to be released? Any idea?

The upgrade path is permanent from the MiniSyn'X to the Syn'X and soon Syn'X 2 according to Xils newsletter. I think getting the minisynx now then upgrading to Syn'x might indeed be the better deal. They also mention that the Syn'x 2 will be soon released. But I dont know exactly when. I'd say its a matter of weeks. Hope it helps.

Contact us
Old licenses are not compatible with the soft-iLok, so an exchange has to be done

Is there a rough release date ?

I think the RC 1 version ( or whatever they call it) might be released in a couple of days. The synth works very well here on my systems. It's incredibly powerfull, and much more intuitive to use that the version 1.

Good because version 1 sounded great but I not sure everyone got past the rather complicated layers concept.

Some things were too complicated without reason in the Synx 1 imo. The locked layer thing for example I had always disliked is gone forever. There are two edit modes : The Easy Mode is well .... as easy, fast and intuitive as the MiniSynX, but with much more power. everything is there on a single panel, always visible, always editable etc. The Advanced Mode has been completely rewritten regarding GUI/UI/Ergonomy. It's now pretty straightforward and logical to use.

See, now THAT is an amazing filter. That's the kind of filter that 99% of the synths out there are missing.

Wow! Now THIS I can't wait to get my hands on.

In the words of G. Takei - Oh my!

I presume this will be set up with the same eLicensor, iLok and soft-iLok CP options as Synx 1 (I believe) was?
