Added a second composition called "Adhara".
Adhara is a bright binary star in Canis Major that shows up best in ultraviolet light.

I still have no clue. After hearing the 2nd sample I'm less and less sure about Absynth, not that I was ever sure at all.
There is a very distinctive almost thick, muddy sound to this synth. I'm hearing nothing that shows off the filters so my guess is the filters on the synth are either weak or so good that they'd be a dead giveaway.
We still don't know if there is any processing on any of these tracks and if there is, that can greatly color the sound.
I'm still not hearing anything that suggests wavetable synth. Where is the moving pad sounds? I hear no morphing of any kind.
I can rule out synths like Dune 2, Electra 2 or any of the other "plastic" shine synths.
Anyway, I've gone through my whole list of synths and the only possibility out of those is Bazille, as uncharacteristic as the demo is.
The other option is a synth that I don't have but have demo'd and it does kind of remind me of it. Syn'X. It has that XILS sound to it on the bottom end.
So because I don't believe that Liv would do such a subtle Bazille demo, I'm going to go with Syn'X for my day 2 guess.

If he had any fractilize action going I'd agree. But it's so un-Bazille characteristic in its use that I'm having a hard time going there.V0RT3X wrote:As a Bazille owner\enthusiast, I am pretty convinced this is Bazille.
I'm not really playing for prizes, though I like doing my own sound design.
But then it would make so much sense as he's been plastering the forum with Bazille demos for about 6 months now if not longer.
Again, it's a deliberate attempt to not make it sound like Bazille. But that same Syn'X bottom is also characteristic of this synth.
But I'm still going to go with Syn'X since there have been so many Bazille guesses already even if I said Bazille I wouldn't be one of the first two.
I am absolutely sure now that there is no way this is Absynth.

I just finished a 2 bank, 256 patch sound library for Blue II and I can tell you there is no way in hell this is Blue II. If it is, I will eat my PC one memory chip at a time.Timfonie wrote:Blue II
