Do you use a Adblocker on KVR and other music production site?

It's all in the title. I'm curious to know, because I tend to use it myself a lot and forget that's even there. I'm actually interested in the ads on KVR so I've unblocked KVR from Adblocker.

I would like not to have to do so as I do appreciate this is how Ben makes his living but I have to block some types of ads because that appears to be the only way to stop the various popup menus that obscure significant parts of KvR. However I keep it minimal and still see the Google ones generally and some banner ads.

No adblocker here. I guess KVR is not at all as bullying as other pages with ads. For other sites i use FF with NoScript when the ads become too much a PITA, like blocking the whole site or something. It's cool to make money with ads, but it's uncool to block the whole sites content with them.

I just about only use my phone to browse these days, and go to Latests Posts only. Hardly see any ads.
KvR is STILL the slowest site on the web tho....wish that would get sorted.

I don't use any adblocker, but I have enabled no-flash and no-script in FF, which results in no ads being displayed anywhere. Where are the good times when an ad was a picture... or text.

I also use Stylish to keep the place tidy (I'm off GreaseMonkey at the moment -- Stylish does a better job).

Never used an adblocker, and will probably never use one. Never had issues with ads. I really wonder what pages some people visit, so they get offended by ads.
BTW: It's the same with TV. Nothing is free in this world. So if your favorite page shuts down, because everybody blocks ads, don't whine. People try to make a living and still provide the community with free services. Otherwise go for paid content.

Afaic, the issue isn't blocking ads, but not clicking ads anyway.
Of course, if you blocked ads you can't click them naturally... but even with ads displayed, i'm probably not the usual customer as even then i hardly click any ads. So simply by displaying ads, i still won't be very beneficial for the site.

It is really a dilemma. I know the Internet is more or less based on ads, then again, I never click on any ads anyway, I don't even read them. So they might as well not be there to begin with as far as I am concerned.
I noticed that KVR and other sites are pretty slow, often it says waiting for google etc. in the browser. Those ad sites are like a giant brake on the Internet, and I will not put up with that, sorry Ben. I am on a mobile Internet connection, I don't need banners and shit wasting my limited bandwidth.
I have a giant Hosts file now, with thousands of entries, that alone all but eliminates all ad servers. I still have an ad blocker in my browser, but usually it shows 0 because the Hosts file doesn't allow such connections.
And to those who say, I am killing the Internet, I will respond that I grew up long before there was an Internet, I will have no problem with the Internet disappearing, to the contrary, it would be a blessing for the world. To me the Internet is like a toy, I play with it while it is still there, and when it is gone, I will play with something else...

I had to block ads on my tablet as KVR took 20-30 seconds to load though generally fine on my laptop so don't block there.
@chk071 re: clicking ads: don't a lot of these 'models' work by page views rather than actual clicks? So if you can say a site had 100,000 views in a month then you get rewarded on that?
@fluffy_little_something : Yes, the internet going would be... fun.
I'm old enough to have worked for a decade in IT before it really took hold, just think of all that old stuff that would make a come back (physical telephone directories, hard media for sending data, getting software patches through the mail on CDs...) People would have to have encyclopedias and dictionaries at home again, I'd have to start visiting other towns again when searching for records...
