I believe this is exactly what Beethoven would have done, had he been around today. Such beauty, elegance, and bliss.actioncat wrote: What's more, if you've EQed your lead to sound good in a certain key, playing different notes with it is just asking for trouble! Hey guys,
back in town
Isn't voting time over? I always do not get it regarding the kvr time
These were so nice tracks overall, so much variety...
Very curious if Mac users are in again in OSC 77....
I also tried a song for sound evotion (sdcompo http://audiotournament.com ) contest, but completely failed this time (didn't sent it in)

Yes, Renoise, as usual. Yes you are right, didn't see it's tracker only. Maybe you should try it, Renoise v3.1 is near (neat new filters and some stuff).

You know... I did get started with trackers many years ago: FT2 and shortly moved to IT and got pretty good. But then switched to Cubase. Tried Renoise a couple times, just not my thing anymore, unfortunately.Hanz Meyzer wrote:Yes, Renoise, as usual. Yes you are right, didn't see it's tracker only. Sorry, newbie question, now that the voting has ended, how does one see the results?

In time... usually before the end of the day. Brian will post a link to a Google spreadsheet and a post with final results. 'till then... sit tight; we all get busy from time to time.beatdriver408 wrote:Sorry, newbie question, now that the voting has ended, how does one see the results?

Very cool you found your daw. Still have a cubase 6.5 license, but never used it (sx2 win was the last version hehe). cubase pianoroll is the best of all, but what can be better than an excel table with hexadecimal valuesz.prime wrote:You know... What do you like most in cubase?
- KVRAF

Actually I hate Cubase. I won't buy another product with a hardware dongle. Not a fan of the software copy protection crap, either... but at least it's not hardware. I had a cracked version of it which actually worked BETTER than the version I bought with a dongle (and, no; no pirated software here anymore). I switched to Reaper for 2 years or so, which was much better in terms of performance and reliability. Then switched to Bitwig. Definitely like Bitwig the best overall, but some annoyances. Did a few tracks with Live, too, which is nice. Bitwig sorta fixes some of the big annoyances with Live (and adds some of its own). I like the channel strip best in Bitwig, just a hair over Live. And running plugins in a sandbox is awesome. Can't tell you how many times I would have probably otherwise lost work due to crashing plugins... only had the entire DAW crash 2 or 3 times... Probably will do a few more tracks in Live! before I stop trying to like it best...Hanz Meyzer wrote:... What do you like most in cubase?

If you read my post from earlier, I predicted I would finish between 55th and 58th. But I did only because of all those disqualifications. So this was essentially my worst showing of all my OSCs with my best entry.
Kind of pointless for me to continue these.
I'd say I'd come in dead last for OSC 76 but that's such a God awful synth that somebody might actually outdo me in the train wreck department.
Slightly disappointed in the results but not in the least bit surprised.
