My left ear has got low pass filtered

I think this occurred because i was testing new vst effects that i have never used before.

It looked like this in FL STUDIO:
Surprise.PNG
Until i took of my headphones after a few seconds.

And then the day after it.
I tried to listen to a sound at low volume that is mono and not stereo.
The sound has mid range + treble.

When i pan the sound 100% to the left headphone.
It sounds low pass filtered.

When i pan the sound 100% to the right headphone.
It sounds brighter than the other ear.

I think i have got noise induced hearing loss.

And i have tried to switch headphones to another brand.
Thinking maybe the left headphone was damaged due to a loud noise burst.

And i was wrong. The left headphone was not damaged because the other headphones i tried didn't make a difference on my left ear.

I have waited 3 days since this happened in my left ear.
And it has not recovered by itself.

I have tried to clean my ears with earwax on both my ears by using ears sticks.

And then i have tried to fill both my ears with water to see if the hearing loss would go away.

And it didn't make a difference.

And then i even tried to inhale a huge amount of air and then i shut my mouth and then i hold my nose and after that pressing out all the air through out my ears with all breath power i have.

It didn't work either.

And there is nothing i can do to fix this problem.
I have no command over my ears.

I just wish sleeping would heal my damaged ears.

I have a static high frequency sine wave in my left ear.
I think it's called tinnitus.

And testing all vst plugins that kvraudio has would be able to make me completely deaf by simply outputting unwanted and unpredictable loud bursts of noise.

And the reason why my left ear got low pass filtered was because i forgot to put on frutiy limiter because it removes dynamics.

I would suggest not using headphones and go see a doctor ... I hope things improve.

I'm afraid you should consult a doctor asap. And leave your ears at rest before you do so. Good luck for your ears.

Try cleaning your ears. Maybe there's wax in there.

I will not make music this week nor create new sounds with the computer and or listening to music / vst presets.

I will check my ears every day with a specific .FLP file that i have created that contains a simple sawtooth waveform at a low volume that is low pass filtered to not have too much treble. And it is mono and not stereo.

Fruity Stereo Shaper:
Stereo -> Mono -> Isolate left channel.
Stereo -> Mono -> Isolate right channel.

Notice that one of them is low passed and then other one is bright.
Even when they should not be in reality because they inside the computer can phase cancel each other digitally 100% perfectly, resulting in complete silence.

Then the frequency response between the 2 ears must differ.

All very bad ideas! Especially the last one!

Go see a doctor as soon as you can. He/she will be able to have a good look in your ear to at least get an idea of what the problem is. These days, for wax problems, it's recommended to just do nothing - the wax will work its way out eventually. Ear syringing is generally a last resort thing now (I worked in health care for 12 years).

Yes, always have a limiter on the master when testing new plugins. It won't affect the dynamics if you keep the track fader at a good level below the master output.

Is that a question or a statement?

PS: I bet 'ere2learn' just couldn't wait to reply to a topic about ears.

That sounds like the worst three things you could do... I'd consult a doctor if you can who can take a proper look, the constant tone definitely sounds like something is, if not exactly damaged then at least disturbed. I had a horrible hissy buzz for a while that turned out to be a low level ear infection, anti-bios stopped it dead.

Of course the real lesson to be learned here: switch to Reaper, the auto-mute function is awesome! :)

No. Dont. See your doctor.

My ears can get messed up for a whole night after a concert. Sleep on it and if it's still there in the morning see a doctor.

On a side note, my ears hear a little bit different I think. My left ear is closer to my crash and snare.
