I purchased a Mackie Blackbird and downloaded the software onto my Mac Book Pro and the set up doesn't recognize the Blackbird as input or output. I have it connected to the FireWire input on the Mac. The program only recognizes the Mac ins(built in mic) and stereo outs.

This has nothing to do with Tracktion. This is because Mackie doesn't support your Operation System and therefore you are gonna have trouble getting it to work with any software.
