Hi,
I've owned RapidComposer for a little while now, but I've just started to really get started with it. I have a track I've created in ableton built from midi clips in session view. I want to start fleshing out the arrangement; which I'd like to do in RapidComposer.
As far as I can tell; when I import a midi clip into RapidCompser is does not automatically analyze the notes in the midi clip, and figure out what's going on harmonically. Is it possible to do this in RapidComposer?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
welcome to this forum! MIDI importing is a tricky part because you need to find the right tracks that must be analysed for chords, which may to be complex or too simple if you choose the wrong tracks. It is usually the best to leave out bass and melody tracks. In a next version real-time master track preview will be added, and MIDI importing will be improved by locating phrases in the tracks.
Fortunately you can go back to the MIDI import page and change the import settings if you are not satisfied with the analysis results.
Thanks,
Attila
