i just was randomly checking some pages and it seems to explain the guitarplaying a lot better than stuff i read before. im no guitarplayer nor do i have a real guitar. i bought it to understand Guitar Rig, Shreddage etc.

seemed to be a bargain so i couldnt resist.

too bad i didnt find a great book about learning Chords with dvd

if someone has some recommendations how to learn and understand chords please let me know

If you want to get a handle on chords.... You have to play them. That's where it starts and ends. It's not something you can read about and then have magical abilities.

Learning songs is the best way to learn chords. Working out when and how to move from one chord to the next. As well... developing a sense of rhythm.

Doesn't hurt to know the fret notes and limitations of actual playing though. I play a little guitar though I'm no professional. It's a nice complement to a keyboard.

The OP has stated he doesn't play or own a guitar.

no guitarplayer nor do i have a real guitar.

The OP has been here for almost 6 years with a post count of 3411 which rounds out to 568 posts per year. In all that time couldn't be bothered to figure out how to play chords let alone a progression.

Dedicated, focus practice for one half hour a day every day working through simple chord progressions and rhythmic techniques would offer the op in very short time (weeks or less) the confidence, ability and knowledge to write and perform songs. If he chose to advance his skillset thereafter he could do it with having a strong foundation.

I was hardly a natural musician when I started out. I had no musical foundation, no family members played musical instruments and I was discouraged from playing by my parents. The only thing I had was willpower and desire. Make the promise to yourself that this is something important to you and work everyday to fulfill the promise you've made to yourself. Stop setting yourself up for disaster and Start setting yourself up for success.

I'm sure OP has had other musical interests he's taken part in besides guitar in that time. I think he's just excited to find a bargain!

yeah ;D, i will have to take some hours in my city to learn more about chords etc. im not a big fan of learning something like that only from reading. sadly my work is not letting me cause when im off i do sports, music and other stuff ;D. i needa take 1-2 hours somewhere in the month! i always wanted to learn more about playing chords etc.

A little high and mighty and far too judgemental towards a guy who simply wants an introduction to some guitar chords. Regardless of post count, music can be enjoyed at any level and a forum member should feel free to ask those questions particularly in a thread which he introduced without fear of being called on it.
