I other DAW's the stereo audio clips/events/items
show both the right and left waveforms by default.
How can I have this as default in FLS in the Playlist?
I spent over an hour researching this online without
success.
Steinberg Cubase Pro 8 and Avid Pro Tools touts those features also. No?LawrenceF wrote:I personally like FL but having said that, cartoon figures dancing about on the screen probably don't do much to suppress those incorrect perceptions some have of it kinda being a toy.
I think so. I haven't read the whole Cubase Pro 8, Pro Tools and also the Studio One 3 Professional manual, so I might have skipped the chapters that explains how to use the "dancing characters" feature. I'm pretty sure that they're there though.LawrenceF wrote:Lol.No clue. Does PT and Cubase have dancing cartoons?
Pros know bro.Tonberry wrote:Any form of dancing is strictly prohibited when making music (especially dance-able kinds). Every professional music producer should be aware of this.
Pressing F1 and looking at the manual may be a good idea ...Kalamata Kid wrote:Just recently I began playing around with FL Studio 12.![]()

Yet FL Studio is used by about 1 in 10 of the top 100 DJs and is widely used throughout the rest of the 'professional' music business. FL Studio has nothing to prove and sales are stronger than ever (rising every year, year on year since we launched).LawrenceF wrote:I personally like FL but having said that, cartoon figures dancing about on the screen probably don't do much to suppress those incorrect perceptions some have of it kinda being a toy.![]()

I was here http://www.image-line.com/support/FLHel ... aylist.htm prior several times. Searched for “Stereo view” but not found. I tried other keywords but apparently not the correct one. I skimmed the page but no luck. I somehow missed it. I am sure if you say it is there it is there. So after spending over an hour trying to find the answer I get look some more! Be nice and spell it out. Please.Image-Line wrote:Pressing F1 and looking at the manual may be a good idea ...Kalamata Kid wrote:Just recently I began playing around with FL Studio 12.![]()

I'll check with the team about adding the option to be able to default it. OTOH it really is just visual clutter most of the time.

I got that animosity from Scott's post also. We're just farting around Scott. I love FL-Studio and would never genuinely put the software down, but for years I have witnessed the kamikaze attacks you guys have sustained so I guess I can see why your "battle shield" comes out so fast.LawrenceF wrote:I'm glad somebody got the joke.Orbit-50 wrote:I think so. After 50 pages and swiping at Edward every 5 minutes I think the FL guys may have trouble seeing "harmless supporter fun" as "not an attack".
Understandable, given some of the trolling in these types of threads.
