The V is 12 (!) years old!!!
chk071 wrote:And how do you know that noone buys it anymore?
Because it's a fact ;) Novation don't cares about the V sales anymore, otherwise they wouldn't release buggy 64-bit-versions and give it away for free in magazines.

They didn't even cared about reported crack links in the past...

And so what? :?

Zebra, Reaktor, Kontakt and several other plugs are as old or even older than that.

Z3TA+ is 13 years old and still is copy protected.

Oh really? Which company still provides update for its 12 year old plugins? Btw, Z3TA+, Firebird+, Warmverb, BiFilter was all magware, and it's all copy protected.

That’s a poor comparison. It's not about the age of a plugin, it's about the age and popularity/sales.

Z3TA+ isn't available for sale anymore since it has been replaced by V2.

Lol... "updates"... they just made a lousy/buggy 64-version.

There is really no need to keep the V copy protected. It's only there to annoy the users.

You must made a point about about it being 12 years old, no it isn't about the age anymore... :hihi:

I say it sells lots, because I say it is a fact.

My facts are as good as yours 8)

...and neither is V-Station 1.0

It got upgraded to v2.0 only a couple of years ago, it is in fact newer than z3ta+ v2

Then why nobody mentions that he/she has bought the V lately? Or where are new sound banks for the V?

Lol... Z1 and Z2 are two different synths. You can't compare that with the first and last V.

It's really funny that some guys here defend the useless copy protection...

For sure...

Maybe those buying V-Station actually go straight on making music with it, instead of hanging around forums bragging about having bought it.

I doubt that anybody buys such an old plugin with bugs for €80. All stores have kicked it out since years.

But you are still dreaming that it's selling well ;)

It comes bundled with Novation hardware.

And don't say bundled software dont' count. That is also one way Air sell Hybrid3 for example. Even u-he offer deals bundled with Bitwig.

Bundled software dont' count! ;)

I had some much crap software bundled with my bought hardware so i really don't care.

Are we talking about SALES here or just GIVEAWAYS?

Novation just floods the market with "free" (copy protected) plugins to get more "customers" in their database to spam them.

Post

Who cares if it sells well or not. They won't put money and work in it just because some internet gurus feel harassed by any form of copy protection. You don't have to buy it nor do you have to buy the mag.

Btw, just a reminder: Novation is the company which refrained from developing any more software instruments due the V-Station being cracked after 2 weeks. And here we go again, freedom fighters of the internet telling a company that they don't need a copy protection, and that it only hassles the customers.
