i hate their GUI's as of late... particularly the phoney space-ship-control-deck and cartoony stuff ... GUI on this seems fine though.

I haven't heard a single demo from Sugarbytes that actually sounded better than just horrible noise. Can't they hire a musician to make the demos just a little bit more pleasant to listen to.

Too many pretty colors and dots for me.

I agree... The concept seems interesting to be fair, but I thought all the audio demos sounded really 'meh' on their site (and a bit samey too). So I'll pass on the demo...
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Thought I recognised this - featured in this video from two years ago:

Guess it was a slow burner.

"... but we don't know if we will release it because we are not happy with the sound production yet"

It's really strange. Some of the marketing part is to have musicians make the best they can with the developers plugin. I must admit that a good demonstration affects my push-buy-button :hihi:

Looks interesting, but one moment, it's have midi-output or not ?
(yes i understand that here is built-in vst host, but nevertheless, it would be interesting to know).

Absolutely mate - if it sounds good, then it is good. You'd expect this from every developer. Get someone who can show off just how good your product should be. :)

Just the basics of marketing. :tu:

i understand and agree that the sound is kinda...meh.

i dont think thats the point though. seems to me the real draw is to load your own synths into it and use it that way. i think they could have left the synth part out of it all together.

i've only checked out about half of the walkthrough video...and wasn't really charmed by the narrator/tutor ... I'll demo the plugin myself of course, but he doesn't demonstrate it well imo. just like you guys have said, random noises etc... sure they could have prepared something that sounded nice, and then re-created it for the purposes of the walk through ?

he's no Dan Worral that's for sure.

I must be one of the few who found it very interesting and a nice walkthrough video. The plugin itself tempts me to play with it because it's reminiscent of the old 8bit computer chip trackers to me.

NO!

And now I tried to give it a shot but the damn thing crashed almost immediately :?. I loaded the obscurium, made a search for other plugins, then loaded Dune 2 and clicked "learn". In the moment I clicked a knob in Dune 2 it made Cubase crash. I just tried again and the same thing happend.

What a start :D.

The idea by itself, how to express it, as a complex tone and knobs pattern generator for your favorite vstis in the form of single preset, with morphing and user-friendly controls, it is really wonderful.
But about the possible stability really do have worries, the same as with any other device which be able to receive the foreign body.
