Split clip at beat points.

What are 'beat points'?

Is that the same as split at transients?
I noticed the beat points in loop properties, but still not sure if it's transient related. I'm not actually sure what it is for as I never use loop properties, but it also doesn't seem like you can split clips with them.
There is transient detection in warp mode, but it only works well on kick drums for me, not snares. There was a mention of improvement on it though. I think split at transients and also tab to transient would be features worth mulling over.
That being said, I'm mixing an album now that just had one stereo drum track for a whole kit and I was able to split the kick and snare on three songs in real good time just setting scroll on and going through /'ing everywhere with one finger and another finger on the spacebar. I'd probably still do this if there was a split at transient because I only split what I want this way.
