I think the developer has stopped working on it he is married now and has a family, so he has no time .

Seems so, unfortunately. Too bad, what we had looked promising. But we can't demand anything since it was freeware. I moved on - things like OB-XD and Dexter called my attention in the meanwhile.

But I keep an eye on this, just in case ;-)

That is true... We've got a working synth with a nice featureset and modulation options. Handling presets I can do in FL... I guess I kind of held off using it because it looked like there was an update around the corner.

Now that it looks as it isn't... Might just dust it of and use it again :)

Can totally understand life happening to the developer, and if what's said is true and he has a nice family now, congratulations to you sir, keep it up! And maybe... sometime... If you feel like doing it, give Brainstormer another go..

The project is not stopped :)

I have almost finished developing the patch manager, there's a working prototype without a decent GUI (I'm waiting for the designer to have a bit of free time). It is based on a filesystem organisation with legacy formatted files. This allows having as many banks, categories and patches as needed. It took me much more time as expected since a flexible patch manager is not an easy thing to do.

I have asked a company forum creation on KVR, where I'll put a link to the synth prototype and many patches I've received. I'll need help/feedback from testers and I think this will be a good place to talk without polluting the main instrument forum..

A synth tutorial is also almost finished

Many thanks to everyone who spent some time (and will?) helping me :tu:

I've uploaded an unofficial version for people who may have some time to test the patch manager prototype :

Thanks ;)

Thank you !
I'm glad to see this synth is being developed further.

I'm willing to have a look, but is it possible to install this version separate from the current version? so I have the one I have now and the new test version side-by-side?

That would be great... If not, can I easily switch back after testing (by copy/paste dll's or renaming) ?

Good to see life coming back to this!

Thanks for reporting the problem ! I think I've catched the root cause of the crash.. I've uploaded the 0.89.1 version.

Please don't use this version (with the patch manager) in your current projects. The new version will convert your old formatted patches to a newer format, which will not be compatible if you switch back to older versions.

You can rename the previous synth version with another extension so that the host will not detect it, and switch back easily after testing by renaming with the right extension (and removing the testing version of course).

I have had the previous version unused for sometime in my vst folder and I just have to say this is a great improvement, the patch manager feature is most welcome, it's really good to see this synth alive and kicking. Thank you roazhondsp :hyper:
