Thanks Endor-808 and Compyfox for your responses! :) (hope I didn't forget anyone else..)

I've submitted the CPU bug to support, I've also included info + steps on reproducing the bug... happens all the time here.

Lol there's no demo so you kinda have to buy it before you try it. Ugh I really want this but I have too many Compressors already.

This sequence of words is, strictly speaking, not allowed on KVR.

Lol true that. And I can always get rid of the crap I don't use that often.

here's a very nice video I found:

I highly recommend the MixBus TV channel in general. The guy's an absolute wizard with mixing ideas.

But yeah, the comp is fantastic. I auto-bought. Threw it on a track with some long pads/choir and it does a beautiful job of thickening it up. Kudos on the different modes too - mono, stereo or dual mono.

I just watched that video. Pretty damn impressed. Sounds so good. I think I definitely liked mk3 the best on those vocals.

I'm really falling in love with this thing..., but I'm still waiting for Tony to reveal what MJUC stands for? I've heard a few funny suggestions. Michael Jackson's Ultimate Compressor is my favorite so far.

Man! Just Unbelievably Cool! 8)

Congrats to Tony for yet another triumph of sound, GUI, and insanely low price.

Cheers,
Eddie

Take a look at the last post of page 4.

I still think that it's way simpler than usual: The Greek letter M (mu, or μ, which is also used in electronics to describe "the amplification factor or voltage gain of a triode vacuum tube") and then just add a C for compressor.

So MJUC is a play of words μ and c (phonetic). At least IMO.

Then again, does it always have to have a deeper meaning?

I was thinking it probably had a shallow meaning Hahaha!...with Sex, drugs and rock & roll being SDRR, you never know.

are you sure about that? I remember it as Saturation Distortion Rock and Roll... but who knows?!

Clintmartin is right, I remember Tony saying that in the SDRR thread.

Mew See - μ C[ompressor]

DC8C - Digitally Controlled Endless Possibilities Compressor

SDRR - Sex and Drugs and RockandRoll

I agree, Mew See is the most blandly named of the three. But it's just a handle anyway.
