Why does FL 12 try to connect to the Internet whenever we render a file ?

Rendering Index username ?
The full URL has my actual name and a number which I assume is my customer number behind it.........

Keeping track of what we render ? That's really creepy............ :?

I think It's just because of the new youtube tutorials which are diplayed when you render

I don't want anything displayed when I render.........does having youtube videos running during render even make sense ?

EDIT: This is what that URL would have pulled up in the render window......(using Internet Explorer)

Image

I don't need FL connecting to the internet and pulling up stuff like this when I'm rendering......especially when I was already using the 12.1 beta..........

So now I have to block FL with my Firewall. There needs to be an option in FL for "do not connect". There's nothing stopping IL from keeping a log of every time you render something.

EDIT 2: Really even Fruity Balance needs access to the internet ?

There are 23 active connection in FL. I have four other DAWs installed on this computer and between them they have 2 active connections. Yes I realize that 12.1 is a beta but really there's no reason for Fruity Send etc etc to access the internet.

It's uploading the file automatically to a Image-Line servers so they can take ownership of your work and sell it cheaply on iTunes. After all, they somehow have to support their lifetime free updates.

I'm pretty sure that those sessions are for the ios/android remote control app.

Good job on this beta, but that internet thing is wrong.... C'mon...

when this happens, I am sure to use FLstudio quite a bit more.

Seriously? Every DAW installed on my computer displays update news or something else from the internet when i start it up... i guess Image-Line simply wants to divert people when waiting for their audio to be rendered, and that's it.

Fruity Send, Fruity Balance, etc need to be controlled from an iOS or Android Device ?

Seriously are you paying attention ? Look at the list of Active Connections. Fruity Send ? Delay Bank ? Really ? Look at all the other .dlls.........that's just a partial list.

None of the other DAWs installed on this computer have anywhere near that level of Active Connections.

I don't want to be"diverted" while I'm rendering. At any rate I've started to really mistrust Imageline's software. I've deleted FL 12 from my studio computer and may delete 11 as well.

Anyway I'm done here.......... :tu:

Good you edited your last sentence, was about to answer this...
Softwarefirewalls are useless (against malware at least) and a potential security risk btw.
