I think this this is a remnant from beta days.

VST3 versions were dropped at the last minute:

This thing is magic! I just used it all over this track for a mix-off.

Thank you compy. Cubase native sc really is archaic in today's daw builds. But I know it and stick with it.
Moving on from that actually picked up the DC8C I've got to say also impressed. The sidechain in that beast is very good for my needs. I like the aggressive bite that I could not get with a lot of other plugins. In particularly Pro C.
Consequently I know have 2 very good klanghelm comps and know I will learn to appreciate them.
Whilst your on thread and not meaning to stray of topic. I haven't had a assize chance to experiment as only owned mjuc and Dc8c for the last 24 hours. I use the glue on sub busses a lot ie drum, bass, etc. What would be the best match of the 2 in peoples experience in this case or maybe even main buss?

Both sound pretty good on the drum bus and I like MJUC on the mix bus as well. DC8C was more of a channel compressor for me. MJUC sounds pretty damn good on vocals though too.

Try MJUC on pads too!

Seriously, this isn't just an amazing compressor, but I'd say the best saturation plugin available.

it does indeed make things a bit darker even when not compressing. or rather it boosts the bass, with the "timbre" optionally morphing this into either moar bass or a smiley curve. still, the comps in VBC (or VCC) for example do have their own sound to them, so i don't see why MJUC wouldn't.

i generally hate compressing more than 5-6 dB out of anything (well, aside from bass, snare and vocal where needed), and more than 2-3 dB on the bus... but this is actually the first compressor that can do a lot of compression in a way that i like. seriously, i can crank up the MK3 model on the bus and with a bit of tinkering with sidechain filtering the result actually comes out very pleasing despite being squashed to death. i literally can't find a source that this compressor doesn't handle well on any compression setting (for my purposes - mind you i don't do electronics and generally favor more vintage sound, so no extreme highs/extreme lows here).
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Klanghelm products offer excellent quality/price ratio but this one makes me wonder if I really need it. I already have Presswerk as a general purpose compressor with some coloration options. I make purely electronic music and probably don't need hundreds of different colors of vintage compression. But at that price ...

You need it. The mk3 is absolutely ridiculously awesome on electronic/dance tracks. Doesn't matter what source.

Also, it sounds absolutely nothing like Presswerk.. and even more importantly, you can NOT emulate the MJUC compressors in Presswerk, especially not mk3 (I got pretty close with mk2 though the "tone" was off by a mile).

Presswerk is awesome. A real swiss (German? :)) army knife, but I feel MJUC is really 100% on par with hardware counterparts. Simple, direct and sound-wise oozing analog goodness. Not for any specific genre either. MK2 is my favorite model. Has the most character while retaining a fairly neutral balance.

I was a bit skeptical too since I didn't like past Klanghelm products and even asked Tony for a refund for SDRR. I'm so glad that I didn't let this one pass by!

I was already content with leaving Nebula and just using algorithmic options with the likes of Sonimus and Satin, but MJUC just solidifies that decision even more for me.

Agreed. The mk3 added a disgusting amount of punch to the pluck I was working on last night. Amazing.

Thank you for the responces.

I will try the free version now. Does it give an adequate representation of the character of the paid one? (I remember, I didn't quite like IVGI, but SDRR turned out to be much better).

Beautiful Track! Great Sound!
Who is "I"? What is "I"? This has yet to be explained.

Wow, fantastic to hear that you rate MJUC that high. Totally unexpected. I guess for you too :)

Great mix BTW. Sounds like a sunny day on the beach. Great vibe.
