I am no longer in my youth, my vision is declining, but I have no issues with the font (using it at the regular size, in a 1920 x 1200 monitor). Anyway, I'm sure Patrick will keep working on this, and I know he already has a list full of requests. Hopefully, the browser will be among the improvements. Remember the work done with U-NO-LX. A lot has been improved since version 1, and nothing has been charged. I'm sure TAL Sampler, if it enjoys a similar success as U-NO-LX (which I am confident on), will also see a lot of improvements in the next months.sfd wrote:Yes you cna change colors of the GUI. But I don't think you cna customize the audio broser. And I don't think you can change the font size.V0RT3X wrote:The options to change colors are there, the GUI is resizable.
What do you want it to look like if you don't think it looks nice? Could you do a better job?
Then maybe get on it and share your creation instead of griping about it
Such an option would ve very appreciated.

I'm sure TAL will be updating their browser & GUI, however this is just the beginning.
The only thing i would like to see added would be a LPCM (Linear pulse-code modulation) option for the Resampler. For those that don't know what LPCM was used in, here is some information from Plogues chipcrusher webpage.
http://www.plogue.com/products/chipcrusher/
LPCM Examples: Compact Disc (if 16bit/44.1kHz), E-Mu SP12 (12bit/27.5kHz) E-Mu SP1200 (12bit/26.04kHz)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulse-code_modulation
Info on the SP-1200
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-mu_SP-1200
I imagine they would have to also write an emulation of the SSM2044, which shouldn't be that hard to modify if they already emulated the SSM2045 with the E-MUII DAC.

I'm sure the GUI will be added for people who's eyes aren't as good as they used to be which is completely understandable. I'm 30 and i often keep forgetting that people who are twice my age are on here and have problems with seeing small GUIs, so my apologies.

For those who may be interested, I updated the Hollow Sun library, and the new version is already on-line, for anyone who wants to get it. The location is as before, in the TAL Sampler product page, at http://tal-software.com/products/tal-sampler
Hopefully, this new version is now error free (I corrected all the pointed errors, but if anyone finds something, please drop me a line, and I'll try to correct it ASAP).
I also took the opportunity to make some modifications, and even created a couple of extra patches.
For those who already downloaded it, it's up to you to download it again or not, but I strongly recommend you do (just because I would like my name to be associated to a good product, not a faulty one). For those who were waiting, now is the time to go and get it.
As before, I hope you like it, and any feedback is welcome. Regards

You can do this easily in *FL STUDIO* using the FPC drum sample player. I've been trying to tell people about this overlooked feature for several years, but no one seemed interested so spread the word. You can do it with the demo version of FL if you don't own it. There's a drop-down arrow--where the pad selection menu is (right under the FPC logo) that has the export as sfz selection. This is by far the quickest way to making drum sfz with little effort!Crackbaby wrote:I'd really like a version focused on drums (ie with mute/solo/multiple outs). Even old EMU soundfonts sound alive through this samplerI think Jitter is responsible for this.
Do you know of a soundfont or sfz editor where it's easy to make drum kits? TX16Wx lets you drag samples and have them all have one note each with root note set to the same. None of the editors i've tried lets you do that.
Im considering making something in Excel but i don't want to spend time doing that now .. not when i got this new toy <3

Made a quick overview video with a focus on the sound design stuff while messing with a drum loop and the factory drum kit. I didn't really go over the sampling stuff which is something i plan on covering maybe in a different video, we'll see.

Nice video!
It would be awesome to see its modulation with loop length if that's possible. I've been looking for a sampler for a long time that let you play around with loop length or loop end that was also fun to use, like live's simpler. Love those kinds of glitchy sounds.

I am now working on that, trying to emulate the dynamic wavetable lookup principle. Will post some results, if I achieve something stisfactory. Right now, I am trying to implement in practice what is theoretically conceived, using áudio wavetables created with Audio Term.MadPsyance wrote:Nice video!

The only thing I would really change about this sampler (besides adding more Emulations like Vort3x suggested, and a little mroe customization of the brower as SFD suggested) would be THE TAL CHORUS!!! I can't believe it's not on here... otherwise, this is a great tool!
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk

Though I really tried and searched I must confess that I do not understand how to make the Mod Env work in TAL-Sampler!
I am also not sure if I really understand what a Modulation Envelope should do
Could someone explain how it works (in TAL-Sampler) and what it is supposed to do?

You use it via the mod matrix.
